The food was so tasty! I recommend the camarones a la diabla. One of the best versions of this dish I have ever tasted.

Very clean, friendly service. We had never tried Guatemalan pupusas or tamales before. They are very unique and delicious. Good portions.

We came here for my boyfriend's 50th birthday, on recommendation from a friend whose beach house we…read morewere staying at. She suggested the beef medallions with mushrooms, so we got that, as well as the house lasagna. Both were absolutely delicious! Lasagna is his all time favorite - and what his mother would have made him if we had been able to make it back East for his birthday, (but we got stormed out). I was thrilled that he thought this was just as good. I don't do mushrooms but can maneuver my way around them (which means picking them out at putting them on my boyfriends plate). The restaurant is charming and intimate and decor very much takes you from Seaside, OR to any small town in Italy (or Little Italy in NYC). Maria was our server (according to the receipt) and she was awesome! She was personable, and spent time visiting with us and telling us the history of the restaurant. She also helped me be sneaky and hid the little birthday cake I snuck in my bag and hid it in back, then had brought it out later; adding a bunch of ice cream to it - and got the other restaurant guests to suing Happy Birthday to him. My boyfriend is fairly private so this intimate setting and delicious food, was exactly what he wanted and a wonderful surprise for him.

We were seated and served right away, which is always nice. Our server was very pleasant and took good care of us throughout our visit. The food was good, but didn't impress me as much as it did on our last visit. I had carbonara, which is always my go-to baseline meal, and it wasn't bad, tasted ok, but didn't blow me away at all. My wife did enjoy her dish, however, and our drinks were very tasty too. It might have just been me, so I'm not going to say don't go here, you absolutely should, because this is probably the most authentic Italian you're going to get in this area and it's worth a visit!

Crab cakes were expensive and underwhelming. Ceviche was literally nothing but cheap bay shrimp. I ordered the halibut tacos for my main with no mango salsa because of an allergy. It came with mango salsa and the wrong kind of tortilla. Before I could say anything waitress bolted away from the table. I think she knew it was wrong. We had to flag down another waiter after looking for ours for ten minutes, rest of the party had almost finished their food by that point. Two other people had incorrect orders as well but chose to deal with it as it wasn't allergies. Finally got correct order and I wish I would have just sent it back with no replacement. Halibut was almost non existent, it was more of a cabbage taco. The rice was gross and tasted old. The beans were bland. When our waitress finally did come back she said nothing about my incorrect meal. She actually became rude and cold, wouldn't even look at us. I had just received correct meal and two others ordered more drinks since we would be staying longer. Took over 20 minutes to get more drinks and she had become so cold that we were all convinced she might have spit in them. New drinks were left untouched and I left hungry.

We came back the next day and spilt a tuna melt which did not look like your normal tuna melt but was really good. Catching a theme here? There is no waiter. You're paying full sit-down restaurant money for what is basically a fast-casual counter experience, and that disconnect is hard to ignore. The space itself is small -- maybe 10 tables inside plus a patio outside. The nautical decor is charming and gives it a coastal feel, but the place could use a better cleaning routine. A few spots felt a bit grimy for a restaurant setting, which isn't a great look when you're charging these prices. No dedicated parking at the location, which is worth knowing before you go. Street parking is available nearby, and there's public parking within walking distance, so it's manageable -- just not the most convenient if you're visiting during peak tourist season when spots fill up fast. I get it -- Cannon Beach is a tourist destination and prices reflect that reality. But when the portions feel small, the space feels a little rough around the edges, and you're standing in line at a counter to order, it's hard to justify the cost. Not a bad meal overall, just not quite worth what they're asking. Go in with realistic expectations.
