This is one of my favorite cafés in Marburg . The…read moreatmosphere in the café is very relaxed. There is only counter service, so you need to order at the counter instead of your table. There is also space upstairs where you can relax and even gaze out the window. Definitely some of the best coffee in Marburg, the food is also good and there are vegetarian options. Service is always friendly, and good. The price is also not too expensive.

A genuinely typical Marburg café, reflecting the traditionally strong left-ish tradition of the…read moretown. They servine coffee, tee and juices in all varieties, there's a selection of nice cakes on offer (usually) and they also have some hot meals on the menu. But the main reason to come here (for me at least) is the breakfast. A grand selection of everything you could possibly think of, places to sit outdoors just beside the river and an unrivalled friendly atmosphere make this a definitely must-visit, even on the I've-just-got-one-day-in-town list.
