We had a bottle of rose (my favorite variety in the region although at home I'm a red wind drinker) and shared the apricot clofoutis, creek brûlée and chocolate tart du maison for dessert. The staff spoke no English, but with my very rudimentary French, and the help of google translate, we did just fine. I will add that the French are so very very nice once the ice is broken... we have encountered minimal rudeness. They are not gregarious but will gladly help you if you are in need.

I wouldn't even have visited the Restaurant, which is really styled to be a nice place. Looking across Saarbrücken (just ignoring that in the first third of your view there is a bus depot), you can take your really tasty meals. Unfortunately, it is not the cheapest place where you can eat at Saarbrücken... But here are the good news: there are more expensive places, too. The chef of the Restaurant Quack offers also cooking courses for adults and cooking and tasting days for children. On some days of the week there is also professional child-care.
