I had the best thing, steak with herb butter, gravy. and roasted potatoes - it was so delicious! If you love German food you will love this restaurant! We had a hard time choosing our entrees, because the menu is quite large, offering pasta dishes (pasta made on premises), meat, fish as well as the obligatory pizza. Note: my meal was ordered from their daily handwritten menu board. We shared a bruschetta, which was nicely garlicky with tomatoes that had a great taste. This was followed by a simple green salad with a light oil/vinegar dressing and freshly baked bread (part of the meal). For entrees, the hubby had Saltimbocca alla Romana - and he loved it. And he knows his Saltimbocca. I ordered a Seezunge (sole) in a white wine sauce with potatoes and seasonal veg. My fish was heavenly! The waiter even offered to filet it for me, but I managed just fine. After our great meal, we couldn't pass up dessert - Panna Cotta, which was also very creamy and yummy. Our dinner was rounded out with a dry Verdicchio (white Italian wine) and expresso. Including tip, our meal was 80€. Definitely will do dinner here again, rather than just a quick lunch outside. The inside is full of all sorts of wines, gins, etc. and was very clean and simply decorated. Between us we ordered a schnitzel, the lentil/sausage dish, and the daily special goulash with spätzle. All of our meals were large portions and tasted great. The goulash was super "beefy" and had a rich, dark gravy that paired well with the German noodles. Don't think you can go wrong here for lunch and the dinner menu had even more options.

Whiskey and spirits- a good variety, I tried third Donnes (black) , and it had a nice clean taste. But it's only 2 cl, so it's like tiny compared to a whiskey drink in US. Quite pricy for the size. They served it in a stemless wine glass, so ....yeah. Lots of local wine options for there or to go. Ambience- nice, cozy, and intimate. I've tried a small amount of German places, but still can't really see the differences between good and mediocre places. My recommendation: Use different glasses for wines & spirits. Season the meat.
