The taste of Klagenfurt is best tasted in this traditional restaurant. The start is always warm and friendly whether for lunch or dinner. Great value and a sophisticated menu in many languages including English. We love the little starters with daily variations. Salads are fresh and from the local growers and market. The main plates are regional classics with the freshest ingredients prepared with expertise and happy to adjust to your needs. The location is perfect. Between the city and lake. Views of the mountains and great biking and walking possibilities. Out the door and just above is a hikers discovery. All roads lead from Klagenfurt, Italy, Venice and Udine are an easy day trip. Salzburg, Graz are fantastic too. Slovenia is next door. The rooms are very clean and linens changed frequently if not daily during your stay. Very good WiFi is best in the room. The balconies are good sized and there are newer updated and more modern rooms. We prefer the cozy un-renovated rooms. The bathrooms are peculiar, ask for a room with a shower door and toilet roll holder. We have our favorite rooms here as we frequently have stayed here. This is a hotel we choose to stay at even though we can stay at the many others in the region. The Hotel and restaurant give you a perfect stay with a wonderful staff and high quality service and food. The Dermuth is Top Class. We will return often.

Whilst on a vacation to attend a friends bithday, I stayed with this hotel although not actually in…read morethe hotel. They also have some truely amazing appartments which can be self catering. I was on 'Voll Pension' which meant I was able to have breakfast, lunch (if required) and dinner at the hotel. The breakfasts were available by means of a buffet with a massive selection of continental dishes and locally made butter, as well as Buttermilch (rather rich but absolutely gorgeous). Dinner was amazing also with a wide selection of home-cooked dishes and to an exceptionally high quality. The hospitality received by the Schneeweiss Family was outstanding, and couldn't be faulted in the slightest. Also available at the hotel was a Solarium, and four different saunas - all complimentary use! For all you get at this hotel/Apartemnts the prices were well worth it in my opinion! This is an ideal location for walkers, and Skiers during winter months. Oh - also included is the Karten Karte which allows free usage of the cable cars and various admitances into local places and discounts around the area. Well worth a visit for some truly amazing, and breathtaking views of this wonderful part of the world.
