The wine was delicious and perfectly complimented the salad. The salad was good. It was a little small so I wish I had ordered something else because it didn't satisfy my hunger but it was super tasty! I loved the gorgeous views provided on the patio. Everything was just so nice. The staff were great. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Trier!

The meal was prepared very well and the schnitzel was tender and cooked perfectly. The cranberry sauce paired well with the schnitzel. I will visit again if ever in this town. Just like a lot of German cities parking is hard to find. They store was also full of several varieties of wine to include red and white. I thought maybe you could sample wine like at some stores by purchasing a flight. I could not figure that out. The wine menu was in German.

You have two rooms to choose from: one that is more laid back and one that is more sophisticated and fancy. We went with the laid back room. Our server was absolutely amazing and gave us the perfect recommendations. I will 100% become a regular at this wine bar!

I loved that in spite of the chilly 40 degree temps, patrons were sitting at benches outside with blankets provided by the bar enjoying their drinks. When we arrived it was 10:45 and when we asked as we sat down when they closed, the young bartender told us they closed at 11pm, but would let us know when last call came around. We ordered a couple of lovely German reds and proceeded to enjoy another hour or so of conversation and another glass of wine. Finally at nearly midnight we hear last call. While we didn't partake, we watched the the bartenders putting together lovely plates of charcuterie and cheese with bread. As we'd just had dinner, we just couldn't eat another bite, but it all looked so good. They had a great selection of wines and friendly service.

Calling it picturesque seemed an understatement, it's actually just super pretty in a fairy tale kind of way. It's not exactly well known to the mobs of international tourists yet so the rise of Mosel wine region is still a bit understated thing. That said, older Germans like to come here for trips, and this neat wine bar specializes wine pairing. For a flight of four Rieslings, which is what this wine region is famous for, it is $6. Yeah you heard me right, it's $6. The water did cost more but it's all well worth it. Next time you are in Germany, make a pit stop at Cochem, it's one of the prettiest German towns out there, with the Rhine river running through it, a castle perched up top, and boats running through this old town. I have been to Germany more than half a dozen or so times since the last few years, this city and this wine bar definitely stands out more than most!
