Casa Pepe is located a short metro ride (Red Line) from downtown Barcelona in Santa Coloma (Santa Coloma stop in the direction of Fondo). This place has all the favorites and we were eating relatively light so we only had four of the highlights: paptatas bravas ( fried potatoes with aioli), pulpo a la gallego (octopus lightly sautéed with garlic oil and lemon), pinchos (pork with middle eastern spices) and of course tortilla de patatas. The running areas are small and intimate, but they occupy 3 floors of the building. We chose to dine on the 2nd floor. We had some delicious white wine along with an assortment of salads, sea food, and meat dishes. While waiting for a taxi to take us home, the bartender offered us a shot(chupito) of some local Catalan concoction. Que simpatico!
