We went here on a slow Sat. evening after we were told that this was a good place to eat. The place has a nice decor and the staff were friendly at first. Our server spoke perfect english (a younger woman). Since I wanted to try a few items I picked the 35CHF deal which is one soup, appetizer and entree. My son had the Sweet and sour regular plate with white rice (nature). In my offer I decided for the corn soup (which was more of an egg drop soup), the salad and the meat and vegetables dish. The server promptly brought my soup which was sort of gelatinous and ok tasting, the chives on the soup were not fresh, were dehydrated which might have impacted the taste of the soup or it was the soup that tasted that way, dunno. Then my salad came out and it was a disgusting mess of sauce over a few greens, I tried to give it a go but gave up, slurping salad dressing was not my idea of a pleasant salad. The server seemed pissed that I sent the dish back and refused to replace it with something more edible. The main dishes came to us well presented and tiny. PUNY servings that just elicited a laugh of disbelief from me and my son. I mean it was ridiculous. We had also two tiny cups of white rice (2.50 CHF per bowl) and stale jasmine tea (4.50 CHF per pot) to wash it down. I didn't try my son's dish but he said it was just ok, mine was fine except for the tiny and barely existent meat pieces, plus you have to love bean sprouts and bok choy because that is all you'll get. After dinner we were still very much hungry. When it was time to pay I was appalled that of course they charged me the salad after they refused to replace it, and they lady said: "You had the cheap meal that's what you get." Oh my, I was livid at her comment! 35CHF is not cheap, I'd had been better off buying a regular plate (about 22-25 CHF) and skipping the nasty soup and salad. Then I pointed out that my son had the regular plate and he had a little bit of food when we saw them serving everyone else giant amounts of food. The lady just smirked and pretty much inadvertently admitted that we were being treated poorly because we are presumably American. Also all of a sudden they forgot their english, luckily I speak German and told them the food sucked. Then she had the nerve to say I should ask for less salad dressing! How would you as a first time costumer know this in advance? Anyhow, as a fellow American I suggest you take your business elsewhere.
