I had six snails as an appetizer which were acceptable but not anything out of the ordinary, but snails usually are the same in the local restaurants (garlic butter and an occasional splash of white wine). It did come with a hot fresh garlic bread which was unusual for the area. They served a bread with a garlic/herb butter, but the butter looked like it had been re-used and the bread may have been day old. My main course was a cannelloni which was almost certainly not home made. I would not be surprised if if was bought frozen and heated with a semi-fresh sauce on top. The sauce, had some hints of homemade but the ingredients were not fresh. NO fresh herbs, tomatoes, etc. IMO probably made in a batch and frozen to serve later. I also had a pizza here and this is a redeeming value from the restaurant. The pizza was hot and tasty but dumbed down to serve quickly I think for less discerning palates, also severely lacking in ultra fresh toppings. The wine selection is poor as well. No wine menu was offered. the service was slow and inattentive. If you want authentic Italian food in the Ramstein area...you can do much better than this canned tasting Chef Boy Ar Dee.
