Personally in my opinion the raves for reviews should be astoundingly enormous here. There are many…read moreother restaurants throughout the SAR, but this one has the most tourists. Of course this isn't the original Open Rice Forum for eateries yet I do have a story to tell here. Many years ago while I was still a native of the area (Taipa village on the adjacent island to be exact), my friends would come here to dine on traditional Portuguese cuisine. While racing one another from Portas do Cerco to the most bottom section of Coloane, one would imagine being tired out easily from spending all day in the sun. With over 440 years of culutral exchanges between Portugal and China, this is a sweet treat for everyone including you Lou Ban. I've been to Lisbon and this is on par with the restaurants found in that city. Go ahead and picture yourself being teleported to Europe, it has that unique vibe. Nothing has changed a whole lot since the Portuguese returned the land to China. Clearly to say, some of their most sought after dishes are the curry crab, leitao (suckling pig), duck rice, grilled sardines, cod fish, stewed clams, and baked poultry platters. Needless to say, their bread is packed with a fine freshness that accentuates the feeling after walking around Hac Sa or Cheoc Van. Pop open a bottle of champagne, Tsingtao, Yanjing, or Porto wine to get those taste buds rolling. You won't be disappointed! Even today I am attached this place as much as the locals used to be attached to Lilau Square.
