Another visit to Faial left us craving past joys of eating at this Gastro pub! We happily showed up after calling for two days without reaching someone! We had finally received Facebook response to say they were still open. Though the server was new to us and very timid and lagging in some professional aspects- the food was an explosion of flavor. Pros: Food. Location. Seating. Wines. Areas to improve: Speed of service. Response to phone calls. Options for food (we ate the same for two years) read more

Wow, this was an amazing find in Horta! The ambience was pleasant with nice jazz in the background. At first we were disappointed that the two items on the menu we wanted were no longer available. However, we were super happy with what we chose. Every dish we tasted was amazing! The fish soup & seafood salad were so good & the coconut fish was unique but fabulous! Who would think walnuts & pinapple would go so well together? The prices were also very reasonable for the quality of food. We are only in Horta for 4 nights but plan to return at least one more time. read more

Really good small spot, ordered the coconut parrotfish, but got another fish dish. It was still bomb.

This restaurant is exceptional. Late on a Monday evening after landing on the island we found them Open and serving dinner. The ambience is wonderful, lighting, table scales, and music set the stage for a delightful evening. The cheese/olive/toast/home made butter app was a must. We enjoyed a lovely wine off an extensive list. Then main was octopus which was seasoned perfectly . Dessert was chocolate cake with coffee ice cream and a fruit bowl. Finally a cafe. Memorable all the way around with an exceptional host and server. read more

Outstanding modern Azorean cuisine, best food I've had on Faial Island. Had a blueberry gazpacho that was extremely fresh and bright, followed by Parrotfish on a bed of Coconut puree, with melon, bacon, goji berries, walnuts, finished with a basil oil and sumac powder. Absolutely delicious! Add in fast courteous and efficient service. Only restaurant I would give 5 stars to. read more

Great fresh coconut fish! Awesome little spot off the Main Street in Horta in the bottom of an apartment complex. Others in our group had the ribs, which were excellent. read more
