Resting Pawz was incredible in helping me through one of the hardest weekends of my life, when I had to say goodbye to my beloved Brody after 12.5 years. Chandra and David arrived with the utmost respect and compassion and treated Brody with love as if he were their own. They were familiar with my vet, and together the group who assisted Brody in crossing the bridge surrounded him with kindness and care. Brody especially took a shine to them, and I truly believe he felt comfortable beginning his journey. They gave me as much time as I needed, and the care they showed in handling Brody was beyond words. When it was time, they had their car lovingly prepared with a super fluffy bed and a rainbow bone blanket, a thoughtful touch of dignity and comfort. I chose to carry Brody one last time, which meant a lot to me, but I knew they would have handled him just as gently if I hadn't. What touched me even more was that their compassion did not end in that moment. They made it clear they were there for me afterward as well, and that support helped lift me through my grief during a devastating time. I am currently traveling across country to get to my next duty station. My dog and I were going to do an awesome 9 day road trip when she became sick on day 3. After taking her to a vet, they said she was in end stage renal failure and they couldn't do anything for her. It took me 30 minutes to decide euthanizing would be the best thing for her. She was getting visibly more tired and uncomfortable and I didn't want her to suffer on the rest of the trip. She was vomiting every day and losing weight very quickly. I called a couple of places and Resting Pawz were the quickest to respond. They were able to get me in that evening. They were very patient and gentle around my dog. I was a sobbing mess and they made sure my dog and I were taken care of. I paid extra f expedite her cremation since I was leaving the next day. They were kind enough to drop her ashes off at my motel room. They even included some extra things I wasn't expecting such as a bag of her fur, a paw imprint, a paw and nose print, and a few other nice things. I was such a mess I didn't think to do that stuff so I'm glad they did that for me or else I would have regretted not doing that. I always smile when I see my dog's cute nose print. We had to say goodbye to our beloved dog Dozer on June 22, 2026. I called Dave and explained we would like to do this at home. He went out of his way to find an available vet and set it up for us. Both Dave and Chandra were so kind and compassionate through it all. When they arrived at our house we were able to pick out an urn and let them know what we wanted in terms of cremation. They handled our sweet boy with such care as they took him from our home. As heartbreaking as this all was I felt he was in kind and caring hands. When we picked up his ashes a few days later I was so pleased with the care and extra little things like a little bit of his fur, a lovely card and more. I highly recommend Resting Pawz in your time of need. I had my dog Sassy cremated at Resting Pawz a year ago and they were so amazing and considerate and kind and supportive in my time of mourning the loss of my best friend of 12 years! They were available 24/7 and they cremated her the same day I took Sassy there! They gave me some of her hair and a nose print and paw print and some forget me not seeds!
