There were so many people on the road that you could barely walk, it was really hot and I only could smell horse poop. I immidietly knew that I couldn't eat at one of the local restaurant on the main roads. Unfortunately yelp isn't the best app to use for food recommendations in Turkey. I looked on trip advisor and found this restaurant. It stands for its name and it's away from crowded roads but at the same time not too far away to all main streets. This means you'll get there within 10 min when you get out of the Ferry in main Pier. The one thing that truly stands out when you go there is service. These people know the value that online reviews bring them and truly try to make sure your experience is a positive one. This is not very common in Turkey. We got the mixed Fish plate, a bunch of appetizers (definitely try the walnut, olive appetizer) and salads. They gave us a complementary eggplant based appetizer which was yummy. They also have a good selection of wine. We tried a bottle of the white wine which turned out to be really good ( sorry I don't remember the name). They finished our day with a photo that they printed and brought us toward the end as well as complementary ice-cream. We also ordered some tea and Baklava. The ice-cream was great but the Baklava was just okay. I'm not sure if I'll go back to that island again but if I do, going to this restaurant again is definitely going to be on my list.

I love this İskender kebab place. They have maintained the quality over years. I always order with…read more'kofte' and extra meat. I ask them not to put slices of beef on it. You have to pair this with 'sira', grape juice. Everything is great here. I gave 4 stars and not five because they didn't have Turkish coffee on the Sunday that I was there. I wouldn't fill up on soup- it's good but it's better to save room for the mezes! they have yummy corn bread, and their çoban (shepherd's) salad is good- but again: save room. They will start bringing you mezes immediately. My favourite is the one with eggplant but I can never remember what fish is used. Also I love the black sea salmon with onion and soya sauce! At first, one spoonful doesnt seem like enough, but they will come around at least 5 times giving you helpings of different fish based mezes. Usually after 5 helpings they ask if you'd like more, or if it's enough (it's usually enough- especially if you ate some of the corn bread). After dinner, you can have their yummy desert which is a volcano brownie, icecream and helva. We usually share the desert between two people with tea. The service here is ALWAYS phenomenal, and I have never left unhappy. The only problem is that Tuzla is a little far to drive to! Thank goodness, or else I would probably go twice a week!
