DO NOT STAY HERE, OR USE VACASA AS YOUR HOST! Check in was to be 4pm and at most places you can check in early. We waited until 4pm, went up to the door and punched in the code. Once we opened the door, there was stuff everywhere. Backpacks, blankets, etc.. We texted our host, who took forever to respond, and they said they would reach out to the local host. As we are waiting, a cleaning crew shows up to "clean" well AFTER check in time. Takes them 20 minutes to "clean". Then they leave. The place was not cleaned, just picked up. You could feel the sand under your shoes as you walked in. Hairs in the bathtub and on the sheets in BOTH rooms. Stains on the towels, ugh, gross. Just nasty. We always go by reviews, which had to be fake or AI, as this place was so disgusting. When we asked for a credit or refund for at least our first nights stay, we were told they were working toward a resolution, and in the end said they will do nothing to fix or accommodate us, and "hope we understand??" Really?? That's how you take care of your customers? Never again will we use this host. And after filing a complaint with Airbnb, if it's not taken care of, we won't be using them again either. read more
