It's inside a large newsagents so if you've got kids with you be prepared for lots of 'I want, I want' as it's full of sweets and toys. There are often large queues, which aren't helped by the fact that the staff seem to spend quite a lot of time talking to each other rather than serving. Not always, but enough times that it becomes an annoyance for regular users. Bizarrely, the nearest Post Box is a few hundred yards down the road, so either hand letters in over the counter or take a bit of a walk after you've bought your stamps! If you're an Ebayer in the area, I'd much sooner recommend taking a trip out to Scawby where the service is absolutely excellent and can't be faulted in any way.

Its exactly what you'd expect from the village post office - its run by a husband and wide team who have been in situ for as long as I can remember, they're always polite and friendly, and they know most people by name. As you might imagine, theres a Post Office counter which performs all the services of a regular Post Office. In addition to this theres another counter where you can buy an assortment of both the useful and the useless - sweets, cans of drink, greetings cards and various kinds of stationary are sold here. Its a little cramped in there - especially on pension day when the local pensioners fight it out amongst themselves to be first in the queue to get their money, and it still survives probably solely because of the Post Office counter, but its the kind of place the village would miss if it wasnt around any more.

It's a little shop as well, so you can pick up essential groceries (such as chocolate) while you're there. There's parking available at the front although it can be a little awkward as it's on a main junction but generally people will let you through (there's keep clear signs on the road, but they're often ignored). This is only minutes from Robin Hood Airport so it's handy for any last minute essentials before you fly.
