He DID NOT respect the fact I am disabled, which was made clear to his staff when the appointment was made. Instead he muttered something about a phone call he had to be on. My mother / advocate has to step in, but no one cared. He mocked my CPTSD, he mocked my Anxiety Disorder. He is ableist and should be avoided. ALSO: HIPAA means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in this office, as the dr refused to close the door while taking my medical history and I had to tell him the nature of my disabilities, none of which were germane to my eyes.. this is unprofessional and traumatic

I am so glad they have office hours after 5 pm or so because that way I don't have to take time off…read morework. There is usually a small wait but nothing too ridiculous usually. Her staff are often friendly and quick. The appointment with her also doesn't take too long. Last year she took a little longer but she was making sure of something, which I appreciated. You could tell by the way she talks to her patients that she cares and is super nice. Usually for these tests, your eyes are dilated so make sure you bring someone to drive you home! It always lasts about 3-5 hours for me. I have been going to her for a few years now and will continue to go here until my insurance stops me I guess.

I had Lasik eye surgery with Dr. Saunders in September and I love the results! After over 10 years…read moreof wearing contact lenses, I now see perfect with nothing - no lenses, no glasses, nada. The procedure itself is not a fun experience. You have to lie there still and awake while he cuts and opens a flap in your eye and then uses a laser to correct your vision. The reason it is not that fun is not because it hurts -- b/c it doesn't, your eyes are all numbed up first -- but because of the awkwardness of feeling what is going on. You can tell what is happening and it freaked me out a bit even if it didn't hurt. That said, the whole procedure lasts mere minutes. Then some hard plastic lenses are taped over your eyes (you look like a bug) and you are sent home. Next day you take off the lenses and you can see without glasses! My vision kept improving over the next few days and when I went back for my one week check-up it was perfect. It is truly an amazing procedure that I'd highly recommend. Here I am, three months later, so grateful that I did it and particularly with Dr. Saunders.

They are nice when you want to book an appointment but if you have any questions later on, they transfer you to someone else and you are forced to leave a voicemail. I had a problem with my prescription for contacts and I was told that the "contact specialist" handles that. If there is a person who specializes in contacts at the office, then she should have known that the brand that I was prescribed doesn't come in my vision specifications. I think that the doctor should have known that too before giving the prescription but I understand that companies are constantly getting new brands and discontinuing old ones. I tried to tell the office that I didn't understand why I had to speak with the specialist when the physician is the one giving me the prescription. I told them that I wasn't ordering my contacts from them and I was going to buy them online. The office was still adamant that the contact specialist was the one I needed to speak to. Then, right before I was transferred to this specialist, the woman told me to "get my directions straight" and then hung up. I was in shock and disbelief that someone, who's the first person people see when they walk into the office, would be so rude and unprofessional to a patient. This person clearly needs to get a new job. Anyways, I still left a voicemail for this person and till now I still haven't gotten a call back. I even made a follow up call and was told that Angela will call me back when she can. Why say that you'll call back in "one business day" if that's not even true? I had to email my doctor through the patient portal and the next day I was told that I can come to the office to pick up the new prescription. I don't understand why it was such a problem. Thank god I'm moving out of the state and I never have to deal with this unprofessional staff.

In my 43 years of going to eye doctors, this was the first time a doctor told me to come back in 4~6 weeks, because she can't measure my eyesight, because my eyes are too dry. My eyes are dilated and sticky. This was after almost two hours of being there, and a nurse painstakingly measuring my eyesight before seeing her. My eyes are dilated, and while checking the back of my eyes, I've never had a doctor shine the bright light straight into my eyes. Several times. Doctors always shine at an angle, never straight in my eyes. She uses superlative languages, such as severe mytopia, severe elongation, and risk of retinal detachment, and then proceeds to tell me, "don't worry, it's nothing." Why the hell do you even use that kind of language? People were going in and out. Asking question. She was leaving and coming back. Their staff could not measure the reading glass portion of my progressive lens. Only one person could do it and he should do it. In the process she can't find where she place my glasses. What a freak show. I come out my eyes dilated and dazed, so didn't notice but her staff scratched up my lenses all over the place. I am just furious that even after such an incompetent treatment, our medical system is such that we have no choice but to pays out. I've lost my refractive prescription portion of my insurance, and I can't really trust the one she wrote for me. What a disaster. Don't. Stay away.

Dr. Amesur explained the procedures in great detail which helped overcome my concerns. She is extremely competent and thorough and I was quite comfortable having both cataract surgeries. I am extremely satisfied with the results. I can see very clearly now and am more comfortable driving and reading. As an added bonus Dr. Amesur is very pleasant and friendly. I look forward to my appointments with her.
