Since we moved to Florida he had to find another doctor to do the second eye, and he somehow chose Dr. Murray. After the surgery he couldn't see as well as before. She kept him coming back month after month for appointments for over a year and just kept "checking" but didn't do anything to correct the problem. We live in Destin, and he was driving for over an hour to get to her office so it wasn't convenient. Once she had him come into the office to tell him that they had new equipment, but they didn't know how to use it until they got training from the salesperson so they would have to reschedule him for another day. They could have told him that on the phone and saved about 3 hours of driving. She kept saying that if the surgery didn't work, she would re-do it. But she never did. She just kept checking and checking. After a year he just stopped going to appointments. When he went to get glasses the opthalmologist said he has astigmatism so bad that his vision cannot be corrected with glasses, and he said it WAS CAUSED BY THE SURGERY. Per the reviews this is not only a place aimed at milking tourists but potentially with some shadiness with billing! we went through every part of my vision insurance and making sure that exactly what I needed was indeed covered- I did this with both her and an insurance rep from my plan! Not only could I have a hefty supply of contacts, but it also covered the annual visit or vision assessment with a choice of glasses or contacts! This is where I get a little confused because on top of all these extra charges for extra services I'm also getting charged for the "contact visit" per the office :(

A prominent Eye Surgeon in Atlanta, had performed cataract surgery about 18 months before my move to the Bay Area. Before cataract surgery my vision was 20/25. Rougly normal. After Surgery it immediately went down to 20/50 in one eye and 20/80 in the other. In other words I had to be within 20 feet of an object that a person with normal vision could see from 50 or 80 feet depending on the eye. That's a reduction in vision of roughly 75%. For 18 months I spent thousandnof dollars, and endless appointments with specialists in Atlanta. Nobody could figure out how to repair the damage that had been done. Shortly after moving to the area, I met Dr. Zloty by chance. I gave him the files from the Previous Opthalmologist, and made an appointment as immediately as possible to see Dr.Zloty. Dr Zloty did one test during my appointment. The same test, using the same equipment had been conducted several times in Atlanta. Within 15 minutes, gave ne a detailed explanation of my problem. Within a few weeks and two simple procedures, I now have 20/20 vision. Dr Zloty says it will continue to improve! So was it a miracle? I don't know. But I do know that my vision has been saved because Dr Zloty had knowledge that a large team of other Doctors in Atlanta didn't have. On another note. My neighbor had surgery in Texas before coming here. She is an 89 year old widow that is very active. One of her eyes had lost all vision. She had seen other Doctors, with no results. I told her about my experience and she made an appointment with Dr. Zloty. Surgery was conducted yesterday and her sight has been restored! They aren't willing to let that money walk out of the hospital. I've had failed prk laser surgery, and failed corneal transplant with this group. Thankfully it only ended up being just a bad case of soar throat. The staff was very pleasant and the doctor was very knowledgeable. The nurse was very attentive and kind and if it was the fact I was in so much pain I would have remembered their names to write in this review. Props to the emergency room next door as well. The GPS led us there first and they new exactly where to point us to get to the urgent care. (They call it priority care FYI) Overall a great visit and would recommend if you have something urgent you need looked at. Especially if your doctors appointment is going to be a few days away or longer. They will take care of you and be honest with you. Kudos again for helping us find the cheapest pharmacy to get the antibiotics we needed. 11/10 would get sick again.

What a day! All the doctors in a building to make it easy except they don't talk nor understand…read morethat working people have jobs and can't keep coming back day after day for one thing at a time in a medical building ACTOSS TOWN. The radiology department refused to do my mri of my wrist. They were absolutely rude about it. I was given the paperwork from rheumatology at 2:00. They wanted to call me and make an appointment at at later time bc they were "booked." There was only one person in the waiting room. I was there from 10:30-3:00 for appointments and asked to please get my MRI today so I didn't have to drive back. Rhematology told me to go down there (I was told they could do walk ins), but they refused me when they didn't have to.... There was no one in the office. They just didn't want to take a patient. They figure they make the same hourly wage regardless how they treat people and regardless if they help people. This MCC made prob 5k on my from my insurance today, but they couldn't help me. The lady up front was incredibly rude about it. An older lady, heavy set, with grey long hair and a stormy disposition. When I asked to speak to her manager, she said she was in charge herself. She would email Kaitlyn maze. What a way to treat your patients. Not a place I'll be getting any MRIs done at. My insurance money can go elsewhere. Called and let them know how their employees were treating their patients.
