Nicholls sell some unusual gifts along with more well known makes and have a wide range of Ainsley china in stock. They also have a fab coffee shop in store which sells healthy lunches ,beautiful freshly made sandwiches and mouth watering cakes,ideal for a relaxing sit down I came home with a lot of Christmas shopping and hopes of returning in the new year.

It's like a mini department store, clothing (not sure if they have mens or kids), some furniture, kitchenware, lots of gifts, womens clothing, jewellery and of course, the cafe. An old relation owns a wonderful hotel in a neighbouring town and she loves to come to Nicholls, both in Aber and in Crick, so that's a good sign. To be honest, I only went because my aunt asked me to take her there for Christmas dinner (she doesn't get one, where she is). I chauffeured, she bought the food. For £8 odd, you got a good plate of food, with separate vegs & potatoes and a gravy boat. Wonderful. And the turkey actually had taste. Yes, amazing. I don't know if it was free range/organic, or just fresh and local but this was stunning. I hate turkey normally, because of it's blandness but this was in a different league. All the accompaniments were also extremely fresh and tasty. They don't advertise as being free range/organic, rather local/fresh (which avoids them having to check suppliers, I guess, but I'd put money on the turkey at least being free range). Bernard, eat your heart out, that's how it SHOULD taste. I hope to be back this year again, with my aunt, for what was the best Christmas Dinner I've had in many a year. Thank you Nicholls. david

The clothing at The Wardrobe reminds me of something a Sloane Ranger or "Hooray Henry" (I love that phrase) would wear to a weekend excursion to the country. In any case, it's a relief to see a store cater to men who have outgrown graphic T-shirts, skinny jeans and trainers. Tasteful, classic and a bit on the expensive side, The Wardrobe offers a range of clothing from designers like Armani, Lacoste, Ralph Lauren and Henri Lloyd. I quite like seeing a man in clothing like this, especially a fine suit. Good Lord. Anyway, The Wardrobe also has an online store, perfect for a browse if you can't make it to the High Street Arcade shop, or if you fancy a bit of retail therapy outside of business hours. Do try to make to the store though, dahling. You'll be glad you did.

There are some really great items on display in the windows, ranging from ultra smart to really quite casual. They provide suits and shirts while also fitting in all the everyday essentials too. But always classy. This is quite a middle class shop, where rich boys with side partings might come to find something to wear for playing cricket in. But the prices are reasonable and they often have offers on the cards. It's nice to see somewhere guys can go and pick up nice clothes without having too much chance of it all going horribly, horribly wrong.

I personally hate seeing everybody wearing the very same garment that you bought a month ago from the very same chain store! Little Italy is full of one off men's clothing (or batches made specifically for the shop), so you never have to worry about blending in with everybody else. Although, I have to say, other than a few unusual patterned t-shirts, the type of fashion is not really to my taste. The shop would be perfect for the trendier men out there though! Prices are average, and most t-shirts cost around £10, which is general to most chain retailers; So you're getting something unique for the same price. It's a shame that shops such as this are hidden away in shopping centres outside of the city centre. I can see this store being very popular if it were located in central Brum.

Cooshti is an awesome shop on Park Street that sells some really cool clothes and ranges that you…read morewon't find anywhere else in Bristol. It is probably the last really cool clothing shop left on Park Street. The style and clientele Cooshti caters for is definitely more urban that many high streets shops in Bristol. You'll find baggy jeans and some over sized t-shirts and shirts - quite unlike most shops nowadays. They also sell some seriously cool trainers which again, you'll struggle to find elsewhere in Bristol. I rarely buy stuff from Cooshti, but thats because its not really my style and unfortunately park Street doesn't have the appeal it used to for fashion/. But when I'm in the area I'll always go in and check out what they've got. It will be a sad day if Cooshti ever dropped off Park Street.

There's many labels on display here; Nike, Levis and Diesel to name but a few, all accompanied by a designer tag. The men and women who work here all look fantastically cool and wear their stock to the best of their ability. There's a great mix of footwear, dresses, t-shirts and hoodies with the odd one-off. Sizes are fairly small (nothing above a 14) which is disappointing, and I would say it's better for boys than it is for girls. Rest assured however that this money is paying for quality and shelf life, and the money is going back to the kids that deserve it, not some fat cat corporation. As big supporters of local up and coming 'urban' music Avalaan get about, getting involved with nights out and local festivals. This is a great shop to pick up some original bits of clothing but you really get the feeling that this goes beyond just a clothes shop - it's a lifestyle.
