No judgement, its just scriptural how to be better and closer to God. They dont talk about controversial topics so you dont have to worry about them pushing an agenda. Its just great music, great welcoming people and refreshing sermons. Me and my grandma have gone all of my life and we still go every Sunday. And if you get to listen to Jacob Bales preach - you are in for a treat! He is my favorite. He is so funny ,really grabs/keeps your attention and is also very relatable. There are also several bible study groups and events available weekly. It's a smaller church, so it is easier to get plugged in. It can be hard to find a young and upbeat church in southern Indiana rather than old traditional church, but I think that forward does a great job accommodating to both the younger and older crowds.

Guests are treated with dignity and respect unmatched by any place I have attended before. The music embodies the excitement these people show for their love for God. Visiting here in the worst time of my life was such a blessing. Everyone cared for me in such a loving way. I think in such a crazy time and age, this church is so rock steady and unwavering in their love for what the Bible says and it's very refreshing.

On a whim, my wife and I decided to visit this past Sunday. It was a really cool experience and reminded me of the old 930 location in a lot of great ways. I first went there about 5 months after they started the church in that location. Previously it was an elementary school. My daughters have volunteered there. I eventually attended a membership class and got baptized there. Did the requirements to become a member, but it seems like you have to jump through a lot of hoops. I still have never been asked to join after meeting all of the requirements, except attending small groups on a regular basis. Yes, they are a church that pushes that concept. The church has a great message every week. Also an amazing band that plays a variety of music. The people that attend are nice, but I find the same ones introducing themselves every few weeks. I have met ALL of the pastors and deacons. Yet they walk by and never call me by name. That is the part that disappoints me the most. Also the fact that when I did my membership interview, the fact that I was asked if I tithed as a regular attendee. I want to really like this church, but something is missing here.

I'm one of those crazy moms who was terrified to leave my child with people I didn't know. I went from leaving my 18 month old with my mother to having to search for childcare after relocating to Jeffersonville. If you're a mom, and especially if this is your first child, you understand how scary and stressful it is to trust strangers to take care of your baby. I'll admit, when I first toured Covenant Life, I was a little skeptical. The building is old, and some of the classrooms are on interior walls so they may not have windows (after thinking about it I actually felt better about this because it's the safest place your child can be during a storm), some stains on the carpets, etc. I was being overly critical, but like I said... crazy mom. I'm not exaggerating when I say that after 2 days, I felt completely comfortable leaving my son with the teachers at Covenant Life (and you don't know me so that might not mean a lot, but trust me, it's huge). They are ALL (not just his teacher) so welcoming to Bennett every time we walk in the door! I actually think he prefers most of them over me now, ha! He has been in Megan's class now for 5 months and I couldn't have handpicked someone better to be a "2nd mom" to him. He is learning so much, and she is wonderful about voicing concerns and praises when it comes to his speech development, attitude, social interaction, etc. I just love her! Like, I want to force her to be my friend so I can hang out with her all the time He will be moving up to another classroom in a few days, but his teacher is awesome too and I know I will love her just as much. The pricing is normal for the area, the location is great, and the schedules they keep the kids on are awesome. Child/Teacher ratio is low which I really like also. The Veteran's location only takes kids who are at least 1 AND walking and up, but the newer location takes infants and up. I have heard wonderful things about the preschool they have as well. Reliable, safe childcare is literally one of the most important variables for working parents, and Covenant Life is doing an awesome job!
