The Sausage Gravy & Biscuits is pretty good. You can choose from one or two biscuits. I went with two. The Sausage Gravy is one of the better sausage gravies I've had in the Culpeper, VA area. I added some black pepper and a bit of salt to open up the flavors. The Breakfast Burrito - I've had both the sausage and bacon varieties. It's a very basic breakfast burrito: scrambled eggs, meat, and a cheese sauce that tastes like it came out of a jar or can. The burritos needed more texture and flavor - some crispy breakfast potatoes with onions and bell peppers. Also, the burritos were "wrapped" so loosely - that they basically fell apart. Not a fan. There are a couple of small tables in the back - where one could sit an eat in - or get it to go. The outside of the building has clean lines and looks relatively modern. But inside - the place needs some work. The inside needs to be renovated. As I was waiting for my food - I was noticing things - like how many of the fluorescent light fixtures in the ceiling need to be cleaned out due to all of the dead insects inside; and several of the HVAC vents were very dirty. Merci chocolate packages range from $6.99 to .$9.99 at other stores. I just bought several for thank you gifts and paid $4.99 a piece. The owners have an innovative way of never having to collect their own shopping carts. You have to have a quarter to "deposit" into the cart to unlock it from the other carts. Your quarter is returned to you as soon as you replace the cart. If you don't have change, the cashiers are happy to give you change for any bills. Bring grocery bags. If you forget them Aldi has a wonderful giant reusable bag that you can purchase. I am not a fan of their plastic bags. They don't last long if you have heavy items. You won't find many brand name items but the products are produced in the same warehouses as the brand name items and are just as good. This location isn't near my house but I enjoy stopping by when I am in the area. The employees are nice. The bathrooms are clean.

Caution: Sales Associates in this store treat customers like thieves…read more The Primo water bottle collection site in front of the store has been broken for at least 5 years. When you return empty bottles, the machine does NOT provide a return ticket. On several occasions, my husband has been asked by the lead Sales Associate for his exchange ticket. We have briefly interacted with this lovely woman for years; however, the fact is she knows the Primo machine does not provide exchange tickets when she's asking you for the ticket. On another occasion, a younger Sales Associate did the same thing and then told my husband they are trying to make sure people are being honest. We cannot drink our well water and purchase Primo exchange bottles at Food Lion routinely. To avoid this accusatory encounter, I have now resorted to self-checkout. To do so, simply search for the product by typing "Primo" and select the 5 gallon exchange. The lead Sales Associate will still give judgmental looks, but she can't do anything about self-checkout personal accountability. The honor system does not work if you're going to routinely accuse your customer base of theft. Fix the Primo exchange machine and then you will fix the problem.
