Word of mouth seems to be the way or by driving past, but they would get so much more if they were at least on Facebook, somewhere with a in print presence. Go to there...the clothes are great second hand prices and it has lots of different styles and a kaleidoscope of colours. It advertises that it has a mix of new and old items and clothing and it works... the new does perk up the old in the shop. Not only clothing but also home and gift ware, again a mix of new and old, shoes, bags, pictures, statues, ornaments, the ever present candles, lamps, hats, scarves, jewellery, etc. It's a delightful little shop in an unlikely corner of the world but with a little effort to advertise online, will make a huge difference to its evolution.

The only other possibility I can think of is that the owners/workers are passionate about thrift in general, or maybe about recycling and cutting down waste, but I really don't know. Whatever their motives the result is an op shop that has items that are dirt cheap. I often find myself scurrying quickly away from the place in case they change their mind and charge me double on my items--that's right, a whole 80 cents, that's almost a $1! There is even an area outside and to the right of the entrance that has a sign "FREE" where items are free for people to take. No matter how many times you double check, they really mean it, that area is free. From the free zone I've wombled home wine glasses and shoe preservation boxes. Inside the store is three rooms: one for clothes, one for kitchenalia, and one for bric-a-brac and books. They've said they also have a furniture section but if there is one I couldn't work out how to get there but my guess is that it is next door to the main shop.

Those who live in the home can come in and take anything they want - it truly is touching to see the kids come in eagerly looking for new toys that have arrived. Unfortunately the store is only open on Mondays from 9-12 but the staff are lovely and very helpful when you're looking for something specific. Hip and funky accessories line shelves and wall brackets, all pleading to be worn and taken home. I've picked up some fabulous items here from my last visit. A wine rack which I turned into a shoe rack ($10), a cat painting ($5), kitchenware ($12) and tops (under $10). A must to visit if you haven't already. Well, we picked up an awesome 80s style stereo system with a record player for $150. Winning! The lovely owner even chucked in a few free records for us to play. How nice is that? In fact, it's almost a bit of an antique store. In amongst tools and hardware of all sorts are wall hooks, books, tables, teacups and evena spinning wheel! There were a number of things which caught my eye, in particular a gorgeous blue table and some large metal flowers. Everything looked clean and in good shape for selling. Though not necessarily cheap, their prices seemed reasonable to me given the quality of mose of the wares. If you are looking for tools, this is a good place to go - they have heaps. There were many shovels and garden tools, some ladders etc. I would recommend this place if you are looking to redecorate your home or add a rustic feeling. I also suggest checking out this little gem if you love vintage shopping! There is a relaxed, quirky atmosphere and plently of eye-catching wares! The owners were lovely to talk to, and happy to show me around the shop. I really liked how this adds to the little bundle of business in Woodside. It feels right at home and being a little different to most second-hand stores in the area gives it a bit of an edge. It definitely suits the atmosphere of the Adelaide Hills. Garments that have been pre-owned and pre-loved are often really good and have only been taken out on Sundays by the little old lady who owned it previously; items like the nineteen eighties silver glitter boob tube would have only been worn to church functions and white frocks with red spots at Christmas, that sort of thing. I suspect there is an element of elitism involved in the way the shop smells and feels because the prices are pretty original rather than recycled from the time period the garments were manufactured. Some things, fashionable things particularly become more sought after and increase in cost as the decades pass, so don't expect opportunity shop style bargains, but don't let me put you off either because I'm not so well versed in what a decent frock costs - I wear shirts and pants. Every so often I will don a sarong, but only when it's hot and I'm at home or close to water. Given that many of the stylish frocks I've looked at in recent times have had price tags that suggest someone will pay over six hundred dollars to twelve hundred dollars for something 'special' these days I may eat my words and say this shop is moderately priced. Talk to Maria, Teresa or Lucy - they'll sort you out! All that being said, the quality of what is on display is very good, and I suspect there are some items you would never find anywhere else for a better price, so check it out. So awesome! As for pricing, not too bad actually. These are good quality brands. They do not accept any "fast fashion". So that means, no cotton on, valley girl or supre. Phew!
