She sat with me for a few minutes to figure out what my body needed for treatment. She began by singing and holding my feet. Her voice is as beautiful as it is powerful. She would move to different parts of my body where she felt I was holding onto ick. She would cradle that part of the body and sing. To further establish trust, she explained everything she would be doing during the course of her treatment. Before beginning the treatment, I felt very anxious. (A symptom of the bipolar/anxiety) As Andrea began to work on me, I began to feel the anxiety work itself out and melt away. (It sounds like a cliche', but it really did make me feel like I was melting ... ) Soon, my breathing became much more steady, my body became much more relaxed, and I could really begin to feel my energy field begin to realign itself. Reiki can be very powerful, as certain attachments can give way and trapped energy begins to move. During the treatment I began to weep. Andrea helped me to just let it happen naturally and let the energy work out on its own pace. This was a welcome relief from the "holding in" I had been doing. This treatment was completely worth it.
