Not a smart phone, but a very basic one. We got one. The assistant didn't let us even get through the door before jumping on us. The person serving us didn't even help with the set up, nor check the box and check everything was there. I spent over an hour trying to set the phone up. The battery and sim card wasn't in place and n to help. The online one was useless. I can honestly say that when I'm due to upgrade my phone, they will not be getting my business. The screen was smashed so badly the broken glass shardes were irritating my fingers while i was using the screen. I firstly called them to check availability and prices, after calling other shops I found their repair quote was the best one. I arranged a appointment this morning and they had my phone looking new within 30 min. I would highly recommend aron and his team to all that require repair. Service was great. Highly recommend.

It is a great brand to have in Solihull, especially for those who don't fancy the trip into Birmingham to get their tech fix. Most areas of the store were smaller than usual, but the Genius Bar area and selection of Apple goods were fine, and the staff seemed pretty friendly/welcoming. It does also seem easier to get an appointment here, compared to their nearby store in Birmingham and I do prefer this store overall, due to the limited size and high demand, it can get pretty crowded and a little uncomfortable at times, but Apple is trying to control the people allowed into the store at one time, and have been for a while due to the pandemic. 3*

I've two experiences of the O2 store - both very positive, and both concerning the iPhone…read more The first one was to do my preauthorisation - which went very well, and when i asked to find out when the store opened on July 11th, i was told that he couldn't tell me that, but that the doors to the town centre opened at 6am. Nuff said. The second time was the buying of the iphone itself. Not a problem there, staff friendly (if a little stunned to see the queue that had developed). All staff knew exactly what to do, and the morning appeared to go well - even when systems failed staff knew what to do and were just waiting for permission to use the backup paperwork. I was very pleasantly suprised. Top marks to them for a good launch.

Zodiac is a small PC shop next to the fire station in Cotteridge. Inside it's a bit like an…read moreAladdin's Cave of PC's, Laptops and accessories. I've come here a few times over the years to buy small things like printer ink, mice and CD-R's. They also sell PC's, buy old ones and do repairs. A service which until recently I hadn't needed. Now, I'm not a PC expert. I can build them, take them apart and fix most software problems but a few weeks ago my laptop exploded (not literally, the power pack overheated). After trying a few other things, and getting my techie best friend to look at it I gave up. So I trundled down to Zodiac to see if there was anything they could do. They guy who runs the shop was lovely, he took down my details and we spent about 10 minutes going over the problem so he knew what was wrong. We agreed that it was probably a problem with my motherboard and he told me that he'd have it looked at in a week. A week later and I get a call from the shop to tell me that it hadn't been looked at because the engineer had needed time off due to a personal problem; I'm not gonna argue with that, it happens. So another week past and I get a phone call telling me to pick it up when I can. When I picked it up, I was told that it's not repairable. The guy showed me pictures of the damage to my motherboard and told me that they wouldn't be able to repair it. Turns out the power pack surged and blew one of the chips. I didn't disagree, laptop motherboards are a pain to find, even more so when the GFX card is integrated in. Overall while my laptop may now be ready for the scrap heap, I was happy with the service from Zodiac. They were friendly and professional and didn't charge me for looking at it.

Not sure if the concept of a shop has changed recently, i thought one would enter a shop with cash…read morelooking to purchase the stocked items, not in this case, I entered on 23/04 to be greeted by 2 gentleman, when i asked for a board/processor and memory i was advised this was not what they did and they only repaired computers, i pointed to the vast stock behind the till to be advised these are "old" Well they will get much older with a sales attitude like this!! unless of course a late 30's gentleman in smart business attire is not an attraction to sell to, £200 of my well earned queens pounds will be placed in another till, certainly wont entertain bothering with this shop again!.
