I love it!…read more This is where I was first introduced to adjika, a tasty pepper sauce that is served with their table bread, which is also delicious. I had to grab some at a local market. I highly recommend the chicken kabobs, juicy and well seasoned. Also enjoyed the margaritas, stiff and not overly sweet. Staff is pleasant and attentive. The views are unmatched in the evening. Make your reservation in advance to secure your sunset table. The inside is nice and classy but I simply adore the open air views from the roof. The birds really set off the skyline and you can see several of the mosques around. Not SUPER expensive but it is in the higher end price wise compared to their surrounding competition -- 100% worth it in my book. I will definitely go again on my next visit. Glad I could introduce it to a friend this go round. The only thing I disliked about this place is the "dining dome" as I called it. A portion of the roof now offers seating in a large plastic dome. The dome is scratched up and obstructs the view of the city but does protect diners from the wind. I was not a fan of this dome. I'm sure it's something someone saw on the internet and implemented .. By the way, this place does do seafood very well, so when I expressed an interest in köfte (meatballs), I got very strange looks ;-) Last but not least, I heard many good stories about the owner and how she opened this place having trained in something completely different. This was the two families eating together at the fancy restaurant before the wedding at the end of…read morethe week. Our party of fourteen arrived with reservations, although the restaurant was not half full. It was too rainy for the upstairs open-air bar to be open for business. We were greeted in the entry hall by a receptionist with the selection of fresh caught seafood available for inspection and choice on the spot. You can pick the exact fish you desire. Among the choices for our evening, were the red snapper, lobster, sea bass, mussels, etc. Given the combination of the two families, one Turkish and the other from Southern California, we chose the several course, sea bass selection, and wine by the glass where each person had a preference and some of our locals do not drink alcohol. Our party was attended to by a staff of three waiters and the courses were served very well. Each has a place setting of its own and the friendly, polite, courteous, and helpful staff were very timely, if just a bit under-trained, in that they didn't always serve from the same side. The food was perfectly prepared, delicious, and exactly the right temperature, as was the chilled wine. The ambiance was excellent, quiet, and the location introduces a view of the water, and bridges, unparalleled for night dining. It's an expensive outing for a large group like ours, at just over 1,500 tL, but a celebrated time when the families came together for the first time before the wedding, for a lifetime memory. Well recommended. We will return when in Istanbul.
