I'm not paying $60 for a quarter-ounce of shake hidden in the back of the store that I can't even touch, see, or smell before I buy - and that's after having my identification scrutinized and the information uploaded in their computer to god knows where. So, I've been utilizing an "alternative source" for my marijuana needs. Then, I heard about Smoke Lab in Sterling. I used to drive to Sterling from Dixon for bud in the 80's, so it was a drive I'm familiar with, and I can tell you without any hesitation that it was well worth our drive. Smoke Lab reminded us of the dispensaries in Los Angeles, where we could examine the product before we bought. The jazz-cabbage is all clearly on display and the bud-tender knew exactly what she was talking about. We got a fantastic deal on quality flower & we will be driving to Smoke Lab from now on when we're in the market. This is what I'd *hoped* the smoke stores would be like in Illinois when marijuana was legalized, but in true Illinois fashion, the criminals in Springfield priced the licensure where only the same parasite-class who'd kept it illegal for a century could afford the license to open a dispensary - and the dispensary in Dixon is a perfect example of the over-regulated, corporate-controlled result. Smoke Lab gives me hope.

One note of caution, just be careful make sure that you look at all your items, now that they're offering add-ons just wanna make sure you get what you think you're getting. I didn't buy any this time but in the past I did and I explained that I don't smoke but then I got joints which I just keep me up in glass jar because I don't smoke but people are humans and humans make mistakes so you know it's easy to get upset but even before I left and remind you, this is a couple times before they wouldn't switch it out for me even though I showed them hey look I don't smoke. She gave me the joint. I said that as soon as I walked in the Place and they made me take the joints the add-on for six bucks that they proposition me with. I said, I'll take the gummy cause I don't smoke. I made that abundantly clear. And then when I was leaving two of the girls ganged up on me and made me feel sad like I was trying to get I don't know my dad's senior citizen, discount or something. I don't know. It seemed really cheap and petty like as if I was trying to do something wrong or they're tired of dealing with the fact that their computer system had a problem with my phone number when have you no one ever gave me a solution except today when I dealt with Abigail and the other manager, Abigail actually gave me a card. She didn't pressure me to do it right then in there, but she said hey if you do it now you might get a discount and so I just use my Camera for the picture thing clicked on it and boom it's set up a ticket so it had to wait for the general manager, I believe or one of the supervisors he took $five dollars off my bill that's a lesson for everybody. You can't have unreasonable expectations for people if you offer them a solution and they don't do it then that's on them, but you know it's childish to gang up on a customer ridicule them and then give them the wrong product that they made clear that they didn't want so I called him out. I called him an effing liar and that was extremely rude and I could've called and complained to the manager, but I didn't. I just went to a different dispensary. I'm trying to keep my energy levels high and clean and full of positivity. My dad has cancer and these edible gummy's are the only way he can get somewhat of relief once in a while instead of feeling embraced and loved I felt ridiculed and hated on. I don't know if there's something else going on or what but I did not feel a part of the community that supports the local dispensary one month ago but today I did Abigail and a couple of the other people are very nice and I consider that small hiccup and hope for better times to come keep it short. Keep it simple. And here's another thing always look at the ingredients. I don't like to have seed oils and corn syrup all that garbage that they try to stuff down our throats as we grow up as kids and a lot of these they show off the product, but they don't show the ingredient list which is bogus that should be listed on the website so you don't waste everyone's time when you're at the front desk and I need to look at the ingredient list which makes the most sense you're consuming something you should know what's in it
