If I could give zero stars, I would. I had a very disappointing experience when I went to get information about enrolling my daughter for driving practice. She had previously attended the school once last year and had recently passed her permit test, so I wanted to sign her up for the required driver's education class. Unfortunately, the lady at the front desk was extremely unhelpful and rude. Instead of answering my questions, she gave us information that was completely unrelated to what we were asking. When I tried to clarify, the lady at the front desk spoke to us in a demanding and disrespectful way, telling us things that had nothing to do with our situation. She even started blaming my daughter, calling her irresponsible for not attending classes last year. I understand the importance of responsibility, and I disciplined my daughter when she missed classes in the past. But the way the lady at the front desk spoke to us was very defensive and unprofessional, making us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I spent my money expecting good service, but instead I felt disrespected and ignored. I do not recommend dealing with this place if you want clear information and respectful treatment. read more

COMPLETE SCAM. Do not use for driving test. The male employee my daughter drove with instructed her to "make a u turn as soon as possible" She asked him "here?" He said again "as soon as possible". He should have answered at the next traffic signal. He purposely tricked a young girl. Failed her immediately. I hadn't driven a car before. And I told Joseph one of the instructors I didn't think I was ready for the road so he took me to a big parking lot to practice. He belittled and yelled at me the whole time. The second time I drove with him. We had a miscommunication about reverse. And he used one hour of my driving time to run a personal errand. While he drove. When he had me drive he belittled and yelled at me. Joseph frequently uses the students time to run personal errands. There was another instructor named Ben who was very kind and patient unfortunately there are not many driving times with him at the West Valley location. When I tried to report Joseph to the school. I don't know if he was disciplined. I think the school allows his bad behavior. read more

I should have heeded the warning of a previous review. To repeat: DO NOT GO HERE for a driving test. It's $40 (cash only, first red flag - $$ clearly going under the table). She told me and my son, "he's an excellent driver" and he nailed every part of the test... but how convenient to score him one point under passing for missing "head checks". He turned his head AND used mirrors AND nailed the driving. BUT, now we have to pay another fee for a second round of driving tests - they think they'll get our business. NOT. Found a school that actually takes credit cards and even texted my son the exact expectations prior to his going. Do not go here... It's a money-making scam. They'll fail you and try to get you to pay for a second try. My husband has been driving for 30 years, but his English is not fluent enough, so we paid 40 dollars to this company. He has never had any issues as a driver but how convenient to score him few points under passing. We did not pay attention to two signals: first, they only accept cash, and second, other drivers were waiting to take their second try. I'm so sorry I didn't research this company before wasting our money and time with them. Stay away from this rip-off operation. I will report them to the DMV. read more

Go down the street and nothing I call 801-810-9196 no answer went back to the place. I asked the receptionist what was going on? I called made the appointment the day before why would I waste my time coming down from Layton!! When I made the appointment here? I clearly said the appointment for Redwood Rd. This is a long review, but please take the time to read it. This is an entirely honest summary of everything this business put me through, and why I wouldn't recommend you attend or send your child here. I was in driver's ed for just short of 3 MONTHS by the time I was finally able to obtain a license. But let's start from the beginning: First, I took the home study course, which admittedly took me longer than expected. The book they gave me to complete the 9 quizzes was difficult to work with. It appeared to have been loosely translated from Spanish to English, and contained many grammatical and spelling errors, and left out information that was needed to complete the quizzes. Unsurprisingly, I didn't pass the first time. I had to retake 7 out of 9 quizzes. I went back to the school, and I was given another quiz sheet. I had to make ANOTHER $50 deposit to check the book out. I did pass this time, and I proceeded to take the written test in the incredibly worn down and somewhat noisy lobby of the school. Thankfully, I did pass the test. This took a total of around a month considering some new life circumstances, and other than the book I don't blame the school for it. Next, it was time to schedule my 3 observation lessons. I was texted concerning my test results, and told I would be able to schedule using the same number and system. Whoever was responding took several hours to respond, up to even a full couple of days. I was able to schedule my observations shortly after one another but they were an ordeal in themselves. My first observation was great. The driver did well, it was explained to me, and we drove through a nice area. I was able to pick up on the techniques that were being taught. No complaints. My second observation was great as well. My third observation however, had problems. For one, the driver only spoke Spanish. I have taken some Spanish in school, but not enough to understand someone who speaks fluently. The instructor (I believe it was Roberto) attempted to explain what was happening to me, but not frequently enough, so this felt like a large waste. He also told the driver to go to the mechanic, where the driver and I proceeded to sit in the car for a good 20 minutes while he spoke to the mechanic about fixing the car. Speaking of which, the car had a broken tail light that had been fixed with duct tape. It smelled of vinegar from a leak. The alignment was off, which caused me during my drives to be unable to back up in a straight line. I realize the cars need to be fixed, but when I paid a large amount of money for this school, I expect that the business won't waste my class time on their errands. When it came time to schedule my drives, I was informed there wasn't any sessions open for 3 weeks. I begrudgingly scheduled my drives, but I was severely disappointed as I had had a house fire shortly before, and I had expected to be able to drive myself the 20 miles to school each morning from my grandparents' house. I enrolled in the course at the end of July. I got my license yesterday, October 20th. This is an absolutely ridiculous amount of time to attend a driving school. When I finally got around to my driving classes (thankfully there was one cancellation, moving my first class up 3 days) I was happy to finally have things over with. But it was not so. My first drive on a Saturday went by alright, but then the school attempted to reschedule the other two YET AGAIN, as well as notifying me over text, and pretending this was what I had originally scheduled. At this point I had to call and request that they get changed back. Magically, my original times opened up. I finally finished my drives, which felt pointless since at this point I had been driving with a permit for 13 months, and I had to renew it in order to finish driver's ed. Relieved, I finally planned to take my test with Drive Right, which is a fantastic place by the way. But I proceeded to fail my test, since the driving school did not teach me at all how to head check. The driving instructors didn't mention anything about how I was driving, and I was confident I would pass. I had to research for myself how to do the checks, and take the test again the following day, which I then passed with 100%. I have since been informed that the school lost one or two instructors during the duration of my training, however, they are still enrolling the same amount of students. So in summary, this school seems to be only concerned about getting students to enroll, and unconcerned about your experience or actually getting you through it. The examiner when I took my test was even aware of how this business is run. Please avoid. I would also like to add that I'm speaking of the business as a whole, and the two other instructors did a great job other than the head checks. If they worked anywhere else I would definitely recommend them. read more

I took my driver's ed classes here. The instructor was very good at explaining things, very chill, funny, and it was almost never boring. I learned everything I needed to and passed my driver's test. I was worried because I went to the DLD and they told me I couldn't get my license because my school hadn't sent in record of me taking driver's ed. This was very frustrating HOWEVER I texted them, and they responded despite it being outside normal business hours, turns out it was a mistake on the DLD's part, and it was easily sorted out. They're so friendly and helpful. I can't recommend them enough. read more

I went for my road test yesterday 2/5/19 first of all what they did wrong was making me wait. My appointment was originally at 10/20 am but I didn't drive until 10:40 something and on top of that the drivers test was so short! He told me I didn't do head checks, but I DID. How can you see someone doing something if all you're doing is starring at the paper??! He told me I didn't check for pedestrians either, but I was well aware of my surroundings so to say I was "distracted" is ridiculous. I only did one thing wrong and it was driving to the other lane instead of going in the direction and signaling over. Other than that, this place sucks and they are MONEY HUNGRY!! read more

The worst customer service! Who ever is in the front desk that answer calls, she is rude and you can't talk to her properly!

This is a terrible company. I took my 16 year old here to take her road test and she came back almost in tears. Looking at the score he gave her was ridiculous. First he commented on how her u-turn was to "wiggly" and that it wasn't perfect so therefore he gave her zero points on that portion. Then he gave her no points on her parallel park because when she was getting out of her spot she backed up a bit to give herself more room (which is a tip that is recommended by the UTAH DRIVERS HANDBOOK). Not to mention the fact that he had her park in front of someone's driveway. He also said she did no head checks and that her right turn was an automatic fail because of how bad it was. He also said she was distracted the entire time and had terrible driving habits. Some might say that my daughter could have honestly failed his test and that she might just be that bad of a driver, but the next day we went to a different driving company to take her road test, and she passed with flying colors. Her driver instructor administering the test also commented on her previous test saying "You have to be wary with this company, it looks like it was a scam". Basically they fail you over and over again to milk as much money out of you as they can. read more

I took my daughter to take her road test there, and I was very unimpressed. The driving instructor was very surly in his demeanor toward his test takers. There were 4 people who took their driver's test before my daughter, and not one of them was passed. My daughter didn't pass either, and his explanation was that she "didn't look at her blind spots long enough". He took 2 points off for each of the infractions for her "blind spot timing". I want to give them more but I just can't. My international friend signed up through their Pleasant Grove office. They advertise a quick turn around on their web site and verbally promised she would be able to get in and finish before she needed to leave. It was because of this promise that she signed up with them. She payed her 320$ but they did not grade her work for several days and she was not scheduled to drive with time to compete the class. When we requested a refund they would not let her out of the contract. They wanted to hold 100$ even though they did not keep their promise. A dozen phone calls and complaints and almost a week later we finally got all but 50$ back. To me that is completely unacceptable, when a business does not deliver on a promise they should apologize and make complete restitution. Through it all we also never got a call or an e-mail of apology from a manager. We only had access to a secretary. Completely unprofessional. Their contract does say that if cancelled they keep 100$. Nice set up I think. Sign people up based on promises that you don't keep and then bank 100$ for doing nothing. Thanks for giving my friend a great impression of American standards. read more
