On our last day, we stumbled across this little grocery store in the heart of Mainz and it was honestly one of the better ones we found! Like most European supermarkets it was small with winding aisles, but this one was super clean, easy to traverse, and well stocked. We took it all in and then concluded with purchasing some still water for the evening. The only reason it's four and not five stars is that like most places finding cold water was hard and it was unfortunately the same here. Totally a cultural thing, but I'd love the option for some chilled beverages.

If you're an expat in/around Wiesbaden this is going to feel the most like a US grovery…read morestore...Big, lots of selection etc. They're good and have many of the things we look for, keep the store generally clean, and have fresh produce. They don't have exactly everything, so Edeka or others are still in the repertoire but this is a solid place.
