It's part of the new renovation project for introducing the Sephora products. The extension of the cosmetics is really well lit and organized. The food & cleaning product section is larger than the regular Shoppers and they have tons of well known brands in the clearance shelves. Also, I was really impressed that almost all the well known products were fully in stock and that on a weekend. Well that's serious money in my book (unfortunately.) I came into the store between 9-10a.m. on a Thursday. It wasn't too busy, to my relief. On the other hand, I wanted to be sure to get the right stuff, and wanted to check with the Pharmacy that it wasn't physically behind the counter before hunting the aisles. I took my place in line, and began to wait .. and wait. I have no problem letting her serve the current customer first, go ahead take the time necessary to do your job. After the customer walks away, however, she continues to really take her time. I stand, and wait...keep waiting...there are people adding up behind me. Finally I get so annoyed I need to start making conversation with the customer behind me. As we begin filling our own time void, the staff immediately decides to continue with someone else not in line. THEN I get to hear that it is indeed not kept behind the counter, but on the shelf. Once I hit the aisle, I do get a staff who is available and takes the time to answer my questions about the various formulations offered on the shelf. She had good knowledge of the different ingredients and their applications. I was finally able to purchase what I needed. I should have made more effort to remember her name as I would go look for her next I came back. Good service with an appropriate knowledge level.

Spoke with the rude manager and let him know of the issue and asked me why I did not check bill at the time of purchase. I asked why your location is putting up sales signs ahead of the sale. Note: Priority service is guaranteed next day. It is now 10pm on the 28th of December and my package STILL HAS NOT ARRIVED AT ITS DESTINATION. Also, the employee forgot to scan my package at the store so I couldn't even track it until I called to inquire about the missing tracking information. Take my advice: for urgent shipments use Fedex or any other carrier besides Canada Post! They do not honour their promise.

It was great that it wasn't crowded; however, I could see the lineup for the cash. Thank God for the self serve checkouts, which eliminated my wait in line later. I was looking for compression socks, gel insoles, and coconut oil. I had a very hard time locating the 2 of the 3 items they did have. The socks were spread out around the store and the selection was extremely thin. I finally found a suitable pair in another section of the store. I didn't have to hunt as hard for the insoles. Thankfully some of them were on sale and I was able to get an appropriate pair on sale. I was not able to find any coconut oil except in the skincare section for $19. I was looking for the Vita Coco brand which I can find in the organic section of my local Fortinos grocery store. There was nothing of the sort, no coconut oil at all in the sad section of food items here. I'll have to shop somewhere else. I expected more of this location in such a large mall but it was hugely disappointing. The beauty section takes up half the store. I'll hit my local Shoppers over this one from now on.

After having devoured a huge dessert for dinner, I needed to get a gift card for a colleague whose last day with the company was last Friday. I decided to stop by this Shoppers Drug Mart to buy one. What seems to be eons ago, when I took summer school courses at York University's main campus, I would drop by Shoppers Drug Mart in this area to browse. After all, it was around 9:30 pm and it was one of the few places that was open. Back then, the store was on the northwest corner of Dufferin and Steeles, probably where 168 Sushi currently is. I suppose good habits are hard to break. It was just before 9 pm when I parked in this plaza's lot. There was plenty of parking. The lot layout is a bit weird. You basically carve your own pathway as you drive. I walked in. Its layout is what you typically expect at SDM. I found the gift card section quickly. I got a restaurant one where you can specify how much money you'd like to load on the card. The customers in this area seem to be pressed for time or know that the apocalypse is coming. One person carrying a cart wanted me and another customer to get out of the way. Um, okay. Maybe he needed to unwind by shopping without a cart. Most folks like to shop calmly without having their lives threatened by a maniac with a shopping cart wanting to run folks down. I managed to nab a bottle of unsalted peanuts. They were on sale. I like them as a snack. I cashed out and had a wonderful, friendly cashier. I asked to load $50 on the gift card. Done! We both wished each other a great evening and I walked to my car with my goods. It's a decent store for all my needs. I hope that when I return, the mix of customers is better. (384)

Beauty products right at the front entrance, the pharmacy at the back, photo department off to a corner, frozen food section, plus all the other items in the aisles to cover all your basic needs. This location is open from 8am - Midnight 7 days a week. It's a little different because it offers some asian foods in the snack section and the full sized Justin Beiber poster is deep inside the store to avoid it from getting stolen I suspect. I was able to find all the items I was looking for in stock so that was super helpful. The cashier were friendly and the line moved fast. The only downside was to the grocery section. Some items were hidden and it took me a while to find the crackers and the granola bars. The food sections are divided in a way that is not very convenient. Other than the grocery section it seems to be a pretty good location and I would return to make a four chase in the future.
