Tips: - This store has the largest selection of incontinence products. - Staff are exceptionally friendly. On Saturday, I was running a bunch of errands. I was on a mission to find incontinence underwear for my mom that doesn't irritate her skin. We are fairly new to incontinence products. I got two types of Depend underwear products for her a few months ago. One of them has caused a lot of itchiness for her recently. The other has been great, which is the Depend Silhouette. I wanted to stick with getting this specific brand and type. However, it wasn't on sale and she wears a medium, which I had tough time finding. I was in the eastern part of Markham, practically at the border between Markham and Pickering. I did a search for a Rexall and found this location. Perfect! The drive over here was great. I took backroads, which I always find relaxing. This Rexall is in a plaza with a Metro that anchors it. I had just finished my grocery shopping. I will need to return to check out Metro next time. I had no problem finding an available parking spot. I backed into one and walked in. I always like visiting a new drugstore and trying to figure out where everything is. This store has a vast assortment of curling irons and straighteners. It was impressive. The pharmacy was busy. Everyone behind the counter looked relaxed working with customers. The incontinence products are around the corner from the pharmacy. I have never seen such a huge display in my life. The Rexall in Markham has a third of this selection, which is why this drugstore was my third one that I had visited. I spent a lot of time doing research on various incontinence products in front of me. I looked up reviews on my phone, as you can't tell right from the packaging whether the material is safe on skin. Tena was on sale. The Ultimate variety got great reviews. A few folks commented on how cottony soft it was on their skin and that the underwear was breathable. I got a pack. I continued browsing. At one stage, a female staffer asked me if I needed any help. She called me sweetheart, which I haven't heard in eons. I let her know that I was browsing. She said that this place didn't charge for browsing and that I could take my time. She was the sweetheart! There is so much variety at this store that it's insane. I looked at M&M Food Market products. It felt like I was at an actual M&M Food store. It had practically everything you could think of! I naturally hit the snack aisle. Twigz were on sale. I love these pretzel snacks. I grabbed a couple of bags and then went to line up at the checkout. There was one woman working the checkout section. Another woman came over to help out. I got the original one who was friendly and competent. I had my BeWell barcode scanned from my phone. I then paid for my goods with a credit card. I tapped and was done. I thanked the woman and left with my items. I love Twigz. I got the cinnamon churro, which is yummy. The cinnamon flavour is strong and it's not terribly sugary. My mom hasn't worn the Tena underwear yet. I hope that she isn't irritated wearing it. If she's happy wearing it, we'll all be happy adding another safe product to your list as we continue figuring out incontinence products that are safe on her skin. (459) read more

Very disappointing experience. I booked a vaccine appointment on May 11 for a confirmed appointment on May 15. When we arrived at the pharmacy, the staff told us there were no vaccines available. This caused unnecessary inconvenience and wasted our time. If the vaccine was unavailable, the pharmacy should have informed us before the appointment. This is a good Rexall in a convenient plaza with a Metro and TD so you can knock your groceries, banking, and drug store run out all at once! The Rexall has parking right in front of it that is kind of sectioned off from the rest of the plaza so you don't have to fight patrons from other establishments for parking. I was only looking for one very specific product at this location - sterile saline solution that can be used to wash out wounds (I got a new piercing). I headed over to their first aid section which had bandages, rubbing alcohol, various creams and ointments, and lo and behold, the Neilmed product that I was looking for! They didn't have a ton of wound wash solutions but they had the one I wanted which was great. Each can was $8 and change which is very reasonable considering the $22 cost at boutiques and some online retailers. The staff were really friendly. The cashier was having some issues with his terminal being slow which he sincerely apologized for and asked a coworker for help with. The store is bright, clean and well organized. I don't come here often but when I do, it's for the NYC products and great selection of giftcards! They might be a little understaffed here, because there isn't always an employee at the cash, so they've set up a ring bell to alert them when someone is looking to pay. Pro Tip: You can earn Airmiles and use SPC to get 10% off if you're a student. read more

I will admit, I don't come here often but when I do, the staff is readily available and always friendly. Vent: This just happened to me at Rexall Pharmacy, Amberlea Plaza. I went to the pharmacy with my son at 2pm to get some facial products for his acne. While standing in the aisle and looking at the options available and price we were approach by a female asking if we needed any assistance. I told her No, we would be ok. Instead of leaving she stood for 30 minutes pretending to be on her tablet and watch us while we were shopping. This is racial profiling. I went to the cashier to pay for the items and I felt so overwhelmed, I started to cry. The cashier (Jen) asked me what was wrong and I told her about the incident She asked if I needed to speak to the manager and I said yes. The manager (Lisa) came to the front and I explained what happened while crying in disbelief. Jen started to make excuses for the female and made the situation even worse. No customer service skills, no empathy, no attempt to deescalate the situation. My feelings are valid and what just happened is a recollection of the situation. I told the cashier (Jen) I will not be purchasing the items and left the store crying. I went to another pharmacy and ask them to call and transfer all my medication from Rexall Pharmacy Amberlea. I spoke to my 16 yr old son who witnessed the whole incident and hugged him and reassured him that not everyone treats us like this, but discrimination is real. I lived in Pickering 15 years and I have never felt to hurt in this community or even treated like this. I will never spend another dollar in Rexall and I will tell has many people I know about this incident and I hope no one else goes through this ever again. read more

Terrible. The pharmacist working Nov 11 is rude and unhelpful. My wife has issues with her in the past. She won't go back. Today I Asked a few questions about a few products required and she came across as I was an inconvenience. Also clerk who came to help me had no mask. Went to shoppers at steeple hill plaza. Staff greeted me with pleasure and like I was important. Pharmacist came out to the isle to help me find what I needed and recommended a generic product half the cost of rexall product.
