When I arrived to the appointment, she wasn't there and the door was locked. I called her and she asked if I could come 2 hours later so I did. On top of being late she was also rude. I brought my little sister (my dependent) and she asked me "where's the dad?" Right in front of the child. She looked at me like she didn't believe I should be claiming my dependents I guess because I'm young and she thought it would be rejected or I was lying?? Every time I've filed my taxes I always get around $4,000. She got me $2200 from state and federal combined. That's the lowest return I've ever got. I also told her that I bought a car that qualifies for the California clean vehicle credit since it's a hybrid. Without even checking if I qualify, she immediately told me no you don't qualify because it has to be fully electric. Since I was trusting her and thought she should know better than I do, I didn't question it. Well long story short I am now amending my 2023 taxes because I DO qualify for the clean vehicle tax credit. She made me miss out on a $4,000 credit because she didn't even bother to check if I actually qualify. I went in to a new place to do my 2024 taxes and asked about the vehicle credit and it took them 2 minutes to figure out I DO QUALIFY. So now I will go through a few months long process of amending my taxes so I can claim the credit before it's too late. I wasted $200 paying her to do my taxes and now I'm going to spend more paying someone else to fix them. Oh and she gave me $20 off since she was late. Thanks a lot. Overall she was rude, unprofessional, late, and didn't know what she was talking about or just didn't like me so she didn't bother to do a thorough job.

Decent Cleaning but hidden fees…read more Had it done yesterday- they have a coupon for ($60 for 4 areas)- I needed my stairs done most of all (which counts as one room) and then chose 3 other areas which needed a little help. When I first called, the woman who answered the phone was very pleasant and professional. She offered me an appt. the very next day with a 3 hour window. She told me that there was a "trip fee" of $10 to drive to Carlsbad- I said ok (I mean do I really want to argue over $10?) When the technicial arrived- right at the end of the window- very nice- he told me that he needed to "pre-treat" my stairs which meant he uses a stronger set of cleaner and it costs an extra $10. I didn't think it really needed it since there were no stains, just light traffic marks, but I said ok (again, who am I to argue over $10?) He cleaned the 4 areas very quickly once he was set up-- about 35 minutes. Overall, the carpet looked clean. My only complaint is that is seemed a bit more wet than I would have liked and it had a chemical smell (when the doors are closed). Some areas were not dry until the following day. I wrote a check for $79.95 (if I used a credit card, it would have been an additional 4% [$3.20] on top of that) So, overall, my carpet is clean. But I am a bit disappointed that the statement on the coupon "$14.95 per area, Basic service with no hidden fees" is not true. I paid an additional 33% ($20) of hidden fees.

Don't bother coming." and called US carpet care as plan B. US carpet care will be my first call in the future. When I initially called I set an appt with a female on the phone. She gave us a courtesy call to remind us of our appt the day before it was scheduled to take place and to let us know that their technician would call prior to arriving. The technician, Joshua, called the morning of our appt and asked if he could come early. This was an unusual bonus as it gave us more daytime hours for the carpets to dry. When he arrived he was very professional, courteous, and straight forward. He reviewed the pricing with me and then went to work. He finished in just over an hour and left his card and a coupon for 20% off the next time (Score-US carpet care's prices was already 25% less that the company my wife originally contacted). The carpet looks good. Joshua stated that it would take about 3 hours to dry, but it actually took 4 to 5 hours. No biggie, just be sure to make your appt for a warm day. I am not griping about a little extra dry time if the pay off is clean carpet and a few extra $ in my wallet. The woman that I set my appt with called a few days after the work was done to follow up and make sure I was satisfied with the quality of work. Like I said early, US carpet care seems to be a professional company set of providing a high quality service.
