Knowing we only had less than 2 days to tour the monuments, in addition to the fact that my mother in her older age doesn't have as many steps in her as she used to - I was trying to get creative with our schedule to make the most of our time. A quick google search helped me land on this company. I always forget that the monuments in DC are quite spread out. Being on a bike is definitely your best option. I emailed the company on a Tuesday night before our trip and had a response immediately the next morning. Our guide Robert was very thorough, friendly, and flexible with our schedule. He also gave us a great suggestion to skip the Air and Space museum as part of it was under construction. He definitely knows DC quite well. He met us on the tail end of our visit at the Natural History museum and over the course of 3 hours we were able to see the Washington monument, Jefferson memorial, Mason memorial, MLK, Lincoln, Korean War, Vietnam War, and finally ended near the White House. We also would have had time for one more if we didn't take a break for lunch. Highly highly recommend this if your needs are similar to what I described above. Robert will give you a lot of historical context along the way.

Its cool enough, and includes 2 stops…read more They gave us too much time at the Dr King memorial and too little time at the Lincoln memorial, but seeing DC from 7pm to 9pm is the way to go, imho. But if its a hot or muggy day, the photos of smiling passengers will not be indicative of your red/blue line experience. These buses have no A/C, and if you want to sit al-fresco and its a sunny day, you'll be just as sweaty. Think: "summertime Alabama prison bus experience" and this will meet that expectation.

We got a 24 hour ticket and upgraded to include the evening tour. There was no mention of a…read morererouting due to road closures. We should have thought about it. The guy told us to get on the bus and stay on. It would do the red line, then the blue line. We could then do the evening tour. Okay then. Off we go. Finished the red line, and we're told to get off the bus. What? Last bus is at 4:30.. not what we were told. Not happy. We went on to the evening tour. I'd say it was pretty good. I did enjoy that parts of this tour. Didn't enjoy the "stories" so much. Would have liked more history. We got the bus the next morning and went to Arlington. When we finished we went to the stop, not such great bus timing. Their brochure said buses come every 15 minutes. After an hour of waiting we tried to contact BB to see what was going on? They do not have a phone number that works. There is an email address that stars it will get back to you in 24 hours.., what? We waiting over an hour and gave up for an uber. We did get another email telling us there are delays due to events. This is not okay we when have paid for a 24 hour pass that is not usable. All in all, our 24 hour pass was good for 3 hours. Reason for this? Maybe because only two buses run on Sunday. So unless you have the time to wait two hours for your next bus, it's not worth it! Do not use this service!

Our guide, Andrew, was witty, cool, and has crafted a great tour that is full of juicy, creepy details and moves across the neighborhood (you'll get your steps in!) A bonus, the vibrant streatery-scene in Georgetown. There are lots of places for a safe outdoor meal or drink following the tour. I'm excited to try out more of Fiat Luxe's tours in DC.

Andrew at Fiat communicated with me via email and phone and kept in touch even after the initial contact. The weather on the day our tour was scheduled was going to be questionable, and Andrew kept us updated with details and advice to make sure our tour went off without a hitch. We chose to take the 3-hour walking tour of the monuments (they have many different tour options). The tour guide was super friendly, professional, and most importantly, knowledgeable. He had access to a wealth of information and could even answer questions that were probably only tangentially related to the monuments and Washington, DC. It was really impressive. Three hours felt like one because the tour guide kept us informed and entertained! Even though it was really cold on the day we toured, we had a lot of fun. Dolphins, osprey with fish in their talons, lighthouses, a drawbridge, and a chill approach to life. He navigated us Tilghman island... let us rest, eat and swim... then returned us safely to our lives in DC. The 38 ft sloop is awesome, well cared for and handled great in some chop. We were not all together most of the time so having 1 backpack for family wasn't convenient. Also, pretty obvious, but a backpack is much more sensible than a bag with handles when you are searching for shark teeth and fossils and need to use your hands. It was a great day & it really sparked some curiosity about not only the shark teeth but also the geology and oceanography!

Went on the Georgetown Waterfront GLOW tour. The guide did a good job on the Georgetown waterfront…read morepart, but was totally lacking on the GLOW part. The tour was at 6:30 pm in the daylight. When we got to the first exhibit, she said she didn't know where the lighting was or how it would look. When we asked about the GLOW experience, she said, "Oh, I guess it was false advertising." We left the tour and plan to go back later on our own when it's dark.

Since I live in northern Virginia, I have been able to take many tours of Arlington Cemetery by many companies, but this tour was completely unique. Brenda, our tour guide, did an amazing job of explaining the deep connection of Arlington Cemetery to World War I, the birth of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, why the Tomb is guarded, 24-7, General Robert Pershing, and it was all fantastic, but she also showed us the Gravesite of James Reese Europe, the African American pre-Jazz great who fought for and was injured with the Fighting 369th, nicknamed the Harlem Hellcats. Possible the most amazing story was that of fellow Fighting 369th member Henry Johnson who single handedly took on 20 German Fighters and won, saving the life of his partner who had been injured. I highly recommend this tour, even if you have already gone on tours of Arlington Cemetery. It will show you a side of our military history that most tours miss!
