Well, maybe not, it's a terrible movie, but I'm telling you the postal service is the cornerstone of our democracy. And this post office is pretty good.

This library is nice, but unfortunately doesn't have much as far as computer space. A lot of people…read morethink that doesn't matter because it's a library but I often go to public libraries for work on the computers. There are 5 computers here, I believe, but only one spot for a laptop to stay plugged in. This is unfortunate for those who are like me who come to a library to do work on their computer. Otherwise the library setting is nice, it is quiet any time I've been here. The classes/children's area are held downstairs so the noise doesn't carry upstairs, at least that I've ever heard. I wish they took card for payments but unfortunately they don't. The library director should consider changing this if possible. It is inconvenient to have to go to an ATM and then split up dollar bills for change (for prints and such).

We we're able to reserve a small room for a couple hours to get some calls done too! Very nice, fairly modern, well lit library filled with, you guessed it.. Books! It's a lovely facility and we're so great ful to have this resource in town. Will be back again.

Surprisingly with only two staff, one checking everyone in and the other taking care of business, the wait was t too long. Around 9 am a second staff showed up. Neoclassical in design, it was finished in 1911 and has been in constant use since. Since it's a public building, admission is free. There are plaques all over explaining and describing, but note that on each of the three floors the columns change just the way you learned back in grade school, Dorian, Ionic, Corinthian. Maybe the most impressive of the many Hodags in town is in front. Very few businesses open and the ones that were only catered to the Illinois crowd. It's sad to see a great Northern Wisconsin town that was made from hard working people and logging go to a totally liberal city. Go woke, go broke. Memorial weekend was always a huge tourist boom and income for areas like this and this year it was a complete ghost town. Another place I wouldn't waste my to to come back to. We should have stayed home where the holiday was celebrated. If you visit here you better have an Illinois license plate.
