My husband and I have been doing business with Sharon Rhodes for a very long time. We have never had a problem with our taxes. When we first got married, we wanted to start having our taxes professionally done rather than using TurboTax online. We were referred here by a friend, who has a significantly different tax situation than us. I should I have thought about that more, and I regret going here. The first year, we didn't have much to compare our experience to. We met with one of the owners of the business who assisted us with getting all of the paperwork we needed lined up to properly start our tax prep account with them. She was nice, but 100% about doing the work and moving along in her day. No chit-chat or much for pleasantries. I understand that - it's their busy season. But a little bit of casual conversation or compassionate discussion builds a relationship with the client. The lack thereof was disappointing. We completed our taxes, then came back the following year. Round two was with the other owner. We chose to come back because we hoped they would appreciate the repeat business and our experience would be a bit more welcoming. I brought everything we needed in a folder with things labeled by section (W2s, assets, deductions, etc). The gentleman acted like it was a problem that I labeled everything and he seemed was upset that I was even standing there in his office. I was certainly put off by this, and my husband wasn't happy when I explained how I was treated. Needless to say, we didn't come back for a third year of business with them. We've since moved to a tax accountant that has been incredible to work with. I would not recommend doing business with this firm unless you have a pre-existing relationship with them. read more

I had my taxes done in the past with a different company but they are no longer able to do my taxes for me. I went in a few weeks back and spoke to Steve and he explained that I was missing a form that I needed from last years taxes. He was also extremely rude and kept repeating the same question regarding what I could or could not claim for house repairs on my taxes. I explained that I am not a tax expert and that is why I am coming to him to do my taxes. If I was a tax expert then there would be no need to go to him. I went back to the previous company and was able to get the form that I needed. I set up an appointment to come back and see Steve. When I came back I was more prepared. I had the form that he needed and I had written down a list of repairs that had been done to the property. This list included dates, payment amounts, and who did the repair. Right from the beginning he started accusing me of trying to scam the IRS because my girlfriend and I were both claiming 2 children each and because I had a list of repairs (I didn't know what I could or could not claim so I brought the entire list). I again explained that I am not a tax expert and that is why I am coming to him to do my taxes. I do not see any problem with splitting the children for taxes. Anyway, after a few minutes he just told me that he wasn't going to do my taxes and was extremely rude about it. It was obvious from the moment we sat down that he had absolutely zero interest in doing my taxes. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more
