Dr. Rhonda Newton and her staff made me feel extremely comfortable and cared for when I came to them for dental work. My wait time was not even 5 minutes. They were careful and gentle when working on my teeth. Making sure to check in with me while working on my teeth asking me if I was comfortable, letting me know they would stop at anytime if I was feeling any discomfort. Very clean establishment. My dentist that I had had for 33 years (I am not exaggerating) retired and I had to find a new dentist. Thank goodness I found Dr. Irwin! We got appointments with no fuss and experienced the thorough cleanings and solid advice you want from a good dentist. The last time I went to this clinic, they prescribed me a certain medication that I needed to know for the name of for a repeat incidence. That was literally twenty years go. I've since moved, and I did some detective work racking my brain trying to locate the clinic, in hopes that they still had my information on file. I was informed that the clinic was recently purchased, and that due to the elapse of time, they might not have it, but to my amazement, upon verifying my identity, they still had my medication history on file! Mad props!!! I have been so amazed with them in the past. They are highly advanced in their science, with great dentists with the most recent equipment. It has been twenty years, and I can't vouch for the new owner, but for all of my time here as a patient I was left wowed with their technical abilities, and also the intelligence and friendliness of their team! I haven't been to a dentist in some years due to childhood experiences. I was having a small tooth ache and new it wouldn't go away. My neighbor referred me to Dr Newton's office and so I called and made an appointment. I arrived at my appointment and was greeted by a friendly front office staff person and than was taken back for my evaluation. I saw Dr Widner and he was fantastic! Dr Widner made me feel like my anxiety was understandable and he would explain the treatment that was necessary to make my tooth stop hurting. He was so patient and kind and extremely gentle I have scheduled my next appointment to do a New patient exam and cleaning and am looking forward to seeing Dr Widner again and his staff! I've been seeing Dr. Newton and Dr. Rhonda and Dr. Widner for more than ten years. They listen, are gentle and about as pain free as you can be with this kind of stuff, and they have been great about scheduling accommodation, making suggestions, and adjusting work after the fact if it's necessary. They always are updating processes and equipment to keep up with the latest in care. Great office- I've seen both Drs Newton and Widner, and they're both excellent. I'm writing this primarily to counteract the creep who gave a one- star review to Dr. Widner; he writes one-star reviews for everything, including Costco and Panda Express, so... The office is pleasant, clean, efficient and affordable. The hygienist is sweet and professional; Dr. Widner and his assistant were extremely patient with me (I am irrationally fearful of dental work- to the point of tears). The new dentist fully evaluated my sons teeth and he doesn't have one single cavity and subsequent checkups have proved the same thing. This is our family dentist and I'm very pleased with the care we receive here. Everybody in the office is friendly and approachable. They give you plenty of notice about approaching appointments and amenable to scheduling appointments as well. Maybe they even go overboard on the notices, but rather that then the other. My memory is terrible so I appreciate getting them by text, email, and phone. They do try and sell me on the Sonic Care every time I go, but this is a genuine belief in the efficacy of the device and the benefit it gives to their patients. I've been too lazy/cheap to buy one, but now that I am having a few gum issues I think I should heed their advice. This is not a kid oriented dental practice (some of the kid dentists have an impressive array of toys, movies etc), but they are great with kids and my kids are really comfortable with them. They do hand out kiddie toys etc at the end of each visit. Other than the Sonic Care, they don't try to sell me anything. I've been to offices where they kept trying to convince me to get adult braces or whiten my teeth etc. This dentist actually commented on how straight my teeth were. They aren't completely straight but thanks for confirming that they are straight enough! read more

I'm one of those "baby boomers" that had several bad experiences with dentists in my early years. Since then, I have been to several dentists with better results. None, however can begin to compare with my experience today with Dr. Newton and her wonderful assistant Andria. I expressed my earlier experiences and let them know that I was what they call a "gagger". They quickly put me at ease and were understanding of my concerns. The entire procedure was pain free and comfortable. They made sure that all of my questions were answered and I felt like I was among close friends. I cannot give them a stronger recommendation. Dr. Newton, is, simply, hands down the BEST and her assistant Andria COULD NOT have been nicer or more understanding and professional. The front desk guy, Dan was equally friendly and understanding. Do yourself and your family a favor. Go see Rhonda Newton. If you have any fears they will quickly be ended. EDIT: Today I had to have a crown done due to the failure of an old silver filling. This is never fun but Dr. Widner and his fantastic assistant Andrea made it tolerable and not uncomfortable. I was in the chair for 2.5 hours and was kept up to date as to what was happening. They were both kind, professional and gentle. I can't say enough good things about the entire staff! ANOTHER EDIT: In reading the other reviews for Rhonda Newton's office I was shocked to see a one star review from someone who go's by J.W. It was especially critical of Dr. Widner. I refused to believe what he had said so I checked into the other reviews he has written! He leaves ALL one star reviews! I had been a patient of Dr. Newton for almost 13 years. Recently I had changed jobs and my insurance provider changed. I had specifically asked at Dr. Newton's office if my new insurance provider was in network. I was told that it was. However, I now find that Dr. Newton is not in the network, as a result of which I am not covered at 100% for all the services. Secondly, the insurance provider tells me that some of the fees that Dr. Newton charges are much above the average of what other dentist charge in the area and so for services that would be 100% covered, I would still have to pay a difference. When I called into Dr. Newton's office, the staff who answered my call was indifferent to the fact that I have been a patient for a long time, put the blame completely on me and that they have 1000's of patients and cannot keep track of each individual's plan. Sorry Dr. Newton but now you won't have 1000's of patients but 999s of patients since you lost one! read more

My family & I have known and seen Dr Newton for a long time. I've been impressed by everyone in the office - receptionists, assistants and hygienists. I have been especially pleased with the care I've received when I've had issues - like a cracked tooth, a toothache or need for an onlay or crown. Their ability to deliver onlays and crowns in a single visit is especially impressive - as is the technology that makes it possible. I've seen Dr Widner as well Dr Newton - for check-ups and more recently, an onlay. I am happy to recommend both. read more

Dr. Newton is the best dentist I have ever been to; I've been a patient of hers for more than 10 years. She and her staff are super-friendly and kind, and take the terror out of dental visits. I have been going to Dr. Newton for 16+ years and have NEVER been disappointed! Recently, I was treated by Dr. Widner, one of Dr. Newton's associates. I had a 20-year-old root canal (completed by another dentist) that was not done properly. It was causing me problems and Dr. Widner took the time to explore all options. I was surprised to find out that there were significant complications, overlooked by a local endodontist. Dr. Widner played "detective" and fixed my problem. My daughter had chipped two teeth and Dr. Newton immediately saw us and glued the teeth back on. Dr. Newton informed us that do to her age we should wait to do anything permanent and also that one of the teeth would perhaps need a root canal. She was very nice about explaining all the options. I have been coming to Dr. Newton for over 15 years now since she bought this Sammamish practice. Even after moving to California I still come back because she and her staff make this former going-to-the-dentist phobic so relaxed and comfortable. They have taken the time to help explain my treatment options as my employer provided insurance has changed with the relocation. I love the fact that she is so involved in the community and have referred several friends and their families to her because I have seen first hand how good she is with children. The facility is very clean and I have noted that they use state of the art equipment for to enhance patient comfort and quality of service. I also like how easy they are to work with for scheduling and follow-up as my time is less flexible now that I have to squeeze my exams into business trips when I am in the area. This office is great! Always friendly and helpful! Rhonda has come in multiple times on the weekend to help me out in emergency situations.
