The place could have been cleaner. The ribs were mediocre, at best. They had little flavor and were likely reheated. The service was OK but the waitress was the only employee we saw - no manager. The mens room was filthy. Someone had hurled in the stool without flushing and a three foot pool of urine under the urinal made it impossible to use. This is not great BBQ, small portions, and overpriced. Even the sauces leave much to be desired. Atmosphere is nice. Place is clean inside and out. Waitstaff was prompt and courteous. Each slice of meat was cut in half. Meat plates comes with 4 HALF slices of meat. Fried pickles are not made fresh in-house. They are out of a freezer bag. Have had much better elsewhere. read more

Clearly seeing the most recent reviews we aren't alone and this place better get help before they lose the whole business! The customer service was extremely poor. Starting with the moment we arrived. Several open tables but a 30 minute wait and no one in the building had any sense of urgency! The manager explained she's getting people checked out and will have open seats soon yet a ton not including the closed section ones but the actual open tables available with no one sitting yet a room full of people waiting. Then once seated after a few minutes we get a waiter who had an awful attitude very snobbish and rude! I travel all over Texas and always search for great ribs. Rib Crib has become my "go to" in the Greenville area. Last time in, the baby back ribs were, in my opinion, too dry compared to what I've had before. I mentioned this to the waitress and in a couple of minutes the manager swapped out my plate with a 1/2 rack of new ribs and asked me to give them a try. They were outstanding. Very disappointed, mediocre at best. My husband had the ribs and said they were bland and over cooked. He thought it was funny though as they have signs everywhere that say ICE COLD beer, and his beer was tepid. I had a bacon cheeseburger and was surprised they use frozen pre-made beef patties. If your a BBQ joint why are you using frozen meat? Service was good for the most part. There are far better places to spend 55.00 at for lunch read more

Absolutely Average, we went to The Rib Crib on Sunday after church. When we walked in the first thing that hit me was that the temperature was so cold in the restaurant. We were seated right away, and I noticed that there weren't many people in the restaurant even though it was the after church rush hour. Most of the food on the menu is served on a bun, and comes in a plastic dish in top of paper. It took along time to receive our food, and the only way I can describe the food is average, it's nothing that I couldn't make at home. The one perk, is the kid's menu has many choice and comes with a side, drink and dessert. Overall, I couldn't enjoy the meal because of how cold it was while we were eating, I was shaking the entire time, and even though it was August, I had to get my children their coats from the car. My family had be traveling all day, when we decided to stop for dinner. We were seated immediately. Our waitress was friendly and kept our drinks full. Our order was correct and were overall happy with the food/service. After we ate, my child needed to use the restroom. The front entryway to the restrooms had been mopped, and there was standing water from mopping over the entire entryway, front of the restaurant, and the restrooms. Picked up a variety of meats. Pork, beef, sausage. I didn't care much for the sausage, but that's just a matter of personal taste. But the pork was bland and soggy, and the beef... well, the only beef in it was two huge chunks of fat, with beef particles. Skip the Rib Crib, and catch Ernies BBQ. read more

I guess you get what you pay for. The prices here seem to be slightly below that of local BBQ competition, but the food is below the quality of the others as well. The service was great, the place is clean and the menu is easy to pick from. The food was just a little underwhelming. It's not bad ... just not impressive. Very average. Went there tonight at around 7pm with my fiancé. Wouldn't recommend. I ordered an old fashioned and the manager made it, since the bartender was busy with a table. I watched her make it, she followed a recipe card, she poured cherry juice into it from the bottom of the bar condiment tray... yeah, the same one that the bartender has probably dipped her hand into 30 times since there were no tongs or utensils near. Typical old fashioned recipes don't typically call for cherry juice any way. Anyway, I took one sip, wasn't good at all, not undrinkable, but I just couldn't stop thinking about how nasty that cherry juice must have been, since there were only a couple of cherries in the container.. must have started the shift full, so no telling how much hand traffic it had seen, so I sent it back. Anyway, onto the food, I got the brisket and sausage sandwich, not bad, but not great. Also got a St. Louis Style Rib on the side, they've gotta be good, right? (their name is Rib crib, am I right). It wasn't. The menu says they're smoked, but I didn't taste a hint of smoke. It was only "fall off the bone" because it was probably boiled into submission and then thrown on the grill for a few seconds. The rib would have been hardly edible if it weren't for the sauce, which tastes like churched up Heinz bbq sauce. Fiancé got the Santa Fe chicken spud, which she said she would give 3/5. Chicken didn't taste smoked either. Service wasn't bad and the old fashioned was taken off of our bill without a fuss after I sent it back, but I can't really muster up more than two stars. read more

I love to shop local. So I try to stay in my little town to eat lunch and dinner. Today we visited the Greenville Tx location for Rib Crib. We went in and sat down and when we ordered an appetizer(a queso with chopped beef or hot links, and pico) the waitress / manager informed us that she only had sliced brisket at that time. So we elected to get sliced brisket in our queso. When she came back for our meal order we started to order the pigman sandwich and was told "sir you do not understand we have nothing but sliced brisket and chicken right now." It was 11:30 AM. I was about to ask her why the selection was limited and was informed that they had sent out a $3,000 wedding order and it left the, limited in product. This restaurant is always giving excuses, therefore the $3,000 wedding order will cost them this location. I will not return to the Rib Crib. There are too many locations in Greenville to shop and most of them can plan for a scheduled wedding. read more

This is best ribs that I have had in a long, long time. I got the St. Louis ribs that are sticky. They were greater than great. I mean awesome. I had the potato salad and Smokey & sweet beans that was awesome. The beans had some meat in them and they were perfect. Very good. The potatoe salad was great as well. I had the best person you could ever have waiting on you. Her name is Sarah and works in the bar area. She handled a full bar and took care of me like I was the only one there. She is awesome. My experience here was great! I had only been to Rib Crib one other time years ago in Tulsa, so I don't remember my experience there except that I liked the food, so I was looking forward to trying it out again. I was definitely NOT disappointed! I had the dynamite chicken salad (which was a very large portion) and hubby had the pick your own combo. Our meal was delicious. It was so good, in fact, that hubby said angels must have been in the back cooking the food, lol! Our server was very attentive and the cherry on top of our dining experience was the free dessert I received due to it being Mother's Day weekend! I had been craving a good peach cobbler with a pastry crust for a while and that is exactly what I got! We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience and would definitely recommend this location! read more

In my humble opinion is hard to do barbecue in a chain style restaurant. Was not impressed but have only tried once.

Went to the Rib Crib specifically for their ribs. Me an my family a first time visitors. When we are ready to order, 6 pm on a Friday night, we are told they only have 1 rack of ribs ready. Unbelievable that a business runs out of their signature dish. To top it all off our waitress tells us that this is a regular occurrence. Probably will not come back. I feel self conscious giving reviewing a chain for BBQ. I usually think of the best places as stand alone restaurants. However, The Greenville Rib Crib gets it done. We've eaten here several times, ribs, sandwiches, and my wife loves their salads. I recommend the St. Louis style ribs. Service is friendly and quick. read more

No. Just no. Not sure what this is, but it's not BBQ or anything resembling TX BBQ. Apps started out promising, and I even signed up for their rewards program as I just knew this place was going to surprise me. The surprise unfortunately felt more like April Fools Day. I ordered a three meat plate of brisket, ribs, and sausage and I still don't know what happened, but what my eyes initially saw as a huge amount of food, quickly turned to disappointment. The brisket was served as thin dry strips similar to what I've seen in packaging at Samsclub. Took one bite and that was it for brisket. The sausage (also sliced really thin) didn't fare any better. I wish I was joking, but it looked and tasted like baloney. Down 0-2 with two big strikes I moved to the ribs. Finally something edible. They were tender and fall off the bone, but nothing on the plate had even a hint of being smoked. Not great ribs, but great by comparison. Supposedly I have a free sandwich as a result of joining the rewards program, but that sadly will go unclaimed. One star for the apps, one star for the ribs. read more

When this place first opened, the food and service was amazing! As time went on, ribs became dry and lacking in good service. I always order to go. Staff use to check my order with me but don't always do it now. Not good getting home with no bread or missing one side. Also, ordering ribs with OK sauce, and getting home to discover a hot, very spicy sauce was used instead. Not good but I will be back as I know your team is learning and growing. Poor. We ordered online and when we showed up they had never even heard of our orders. Waited 45 minutes for them to make the food. When we get back to the office (10 minutes) everyone's food was cold, so assuming they had it just couldnt find it. There are much better BBQ places in greenville, dont waste your time. read more

Our first time to the new RibCrib location was definitely a high energy experience, as it was busy but not overly crowded. The restaurant decor was definitely unique, with license plates on the walls along with framed retro and pop posters. It was a bit too random for my dinner companion, more diner-like than restaurant-like, but I suppose it went well with the laid-back barbecue menu. The menu was very well laid out and had a great variety of meat selections to choose from. I got the pulled pork sandwich, my go-to for a barbecue baseline. Our food was very well prepared and arrived hot. Very generous serving portions were a plus! Our table was fully stocked with the restaurant's signature sauces of bbq and a tangy mustard sauce. I took great pleasure in trying them all, both individually and in combination. Our server took our order in a polite manner and checked in a couple times, but I don't recall his presence around our table very often. Granted, it was a busy evening and he did take care of us very well. Another meal here sounds like a truly appetising experience! read more

I ordered the two meat plate. Ribs, brisket, potatoe salad, cole slaw, texas toast and a pickle spear. I got two small ribs and 4 slices of brisket. The meat was okay, not much on the ribs. The taste was okay, not great but not bad. Ribs were tender but brisket was not. Most of one piece of brisket was a blob of fat. The potato salad was pre-packaged and store bought. I could have bought this at Walmart deli. The coleslaw was bitter and also pre-packaged. I don't think they make anything fresh. The barbecue sauce is also packaged in little tubs. The Texas toast was oily and smelled of plastic. This is my second time coming to this restaurant. Last time was a little bit better but not more than three stars at the most. I'm not sure who's padding the reviews about this place but I would not recommend it and I won't be going back. I could have got this quality of meat at the Costco deli, along with a tub of potato salad and coleslaw and a loaf of Texas toast and I probably would have paid less. All of this was $16.23 with tax, no drink. read more

Took my sister to RibCrib for an early birthday lunch on August 5, 2018. Neither of us had been there before. The parking lot was crazy full, which is usually a good sign. We only waited a few minutes before being seated, giving us time to look over the menu. Ordered a 2 meat lunch plate to share, with BBQ pork and Brisket, a side of BBQ beans, and an order of seasoned cheesy shoestring fries. It portion of fries was big, with plenty of bacon and sour cream. There were 3 kinds of BBQ sauce at table. The sign of good BBQ meat, is when it is tender, flavorful, and moist without any BBQ sauce...and the first bite of the brisket told me we'd picked the right BBQ restaurant! My sister was also impressed, since she BBQs everything, and makes her own killer sauce! She is from McKinney, about 55 miles away, and said she'd definitely come back! Me too! Nice family atmosphere, music wasn't loud, which made conversation easy. An all around great family restaurant with friendly, competent, attentive staff. read more

The location is in a former Chili's. I had the Old Fashioned BBQ sandwich with pulled pork. The meat was piled high, was very lean, and tasted great with the hot BBQ sauce. They also had mild and Carolina sauce, all in squeeze bottles on the tables. The sandwich with an ample amount of fries was only $8. read more
