Definitely not a Barbecue snob by any means but I have to agree with many of the other reviews I've seen on "The" Rib Crib, it is not the epitome of Barbecue, if there is such a thing however the service was fantastic! I would have never thought that Barbecue and fish were served on the same plate! While in town for a Masonic meeting, I was treated to lunch and it was fantastic! Before heading back to Dallas the next day, we made another stop by the Rib Crib and had another fantastic lunch along with some pretty tasty sweet tea! This place is good, but it's pricey. I had the baby back ribs half rack combo with two sides here for about $15. The order came out lightning quick and the ribs had meat falling off the bone with a nice smoky flavor. The bbq sauce is addictive and I slathered that all over the ribs. When you combine the value (prices are cheap and portions are massive), the quality (actually can taste the smoke in the meat, most BBQ tastes like they boiled it, meat was so tasty that very little sauce was used) and the service (the waitress was fantastic, I think her name was Breanna), I would become a weekly regular if Lawton was my hometown. Service was ok nothing that I would brag about. I ordered the two meat combo, ribs and sausage with my sides being corn and a small salad. When the sale came first it was frozen underneath. To their credit they explained it to me that the refrigerator runs high. They offered a replacement salad, which i turned down because I was already done eating at that point. The sausage i would not and could not recommend anyone eat. It was just overly salty and not very edible. I did however enjoy the St Louis Style ribs. They came without sauce and I love that. I could and as much or as little sauce as I wanted. This was the only highlight of this meal to be straight forward. The corn was corn nothing special no butter to go with it. I can't say that I will be coming back here. Maybe I need to order something different next time. I can't say I can recommend RibCrib for true BBQ enthusiasts. read more

I rarely order ribs, they normally just don't appeal to me enough to order and they can be so messy to eat. But I was at the Rib Crib after all so I ordered them. I'm so glad I did. I had the 1/2 baby back ribs (dry rub) & pulled pork combo. They were OUTSTANDING! The ribs were fall off the bone and I enjoyed them with a little bit of their house hot BBQ sauce. I was too full for the pulled pork so I took it to go but I tasted it and it was also wonderful, I tried the Carolina sauce on it and loved it. For the sides I tried mashed potatoes that tasted real plus a nice white gravy on them. Also splurged and had onion rings, also wonderful! The server was very attentive and kept my iced tea full We'll be back on a Tuesday for those all you can eat ribs! read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Lawton. We've been there many times and always had good service except for once when we went there between lunch and dinner. My husband orders the ribs and I always order the smoked chicken. We've had wings there too and they are extremely good. I don't know how anyone could say the food isn't good here. The smoked chicken is the best I've had, not dry at all, very juicy. The only thing I would change is the mashed potatoes are a bit mushy. But you do have the option of french fries or a baked potato. The ambiance is similar to being in a big chain restaurant. Would recommend! read more

They are our favorite BBQ place in town! Service, except yesterday, is always great and right now until Father's Day they have all you can eat ribs every day instead of just Tuesday's for about $15, which means all you can eat sides too except the baked potato is an extra dollar but huge and worth it. We no longer go to any other rib place in town bc they're so good. Even the salad and club sandwich is good! I usually don't even eat salads but theirs is so good we get one every time. Just make sure to ask them to bring it before your dinner if you order it as a side if you want to eat it before your meal. The Hot BBQ sauce is the best, vs the mild or sweet. The shrimp are awesome too! I usually get them w/the dry rubbed hot (not sweet) ribs if I don't get the all you can eat. My only complaint is the bread. It's just plain lightly buttered thick white bread. We just usually don't eat it. For good bread loafs Texas Roadhouse on Cache are good, but Lonestar's were the best yeasty soft white rolls ever, but are out of business now & Roadhouse took their place. read more

Food was alright. Came in on a Tuesday evening and found out about this All You Can Eat rib night, my husband participated and opted for baby back ribs over the St. Louis style. Special allows you unlimited sides as well. I chose a brisket entree that came with two sides- not totally impressed. Hubby's ribs looked tasty and juicy while my brisket was sort of dry and bland. Sides were pretty standard, fried okra and manufactured Mac and Cheese. Sauces were tasty, enjoyed all but the Carolina style sauce- wayyyyy to mustardy for my liking. I don't typically like chain restaurants, but Rib Crib has become the exception to the rule. NEW to Lawton, the Rib Crib is a Smoky Breath of Fresh Air. We had a party of 6, with two children, there was plenty of seating to accommodate our medium sized party. Nice and cool on the inside, the walls are decorated with old advertising signs, makes it look "down home" and definitely fits into Lawton's Community. We ordered the Cheese Fries and Chicken Nachos, both were surprisingly good. The fries have some sort of liberal breading, which was a nice spin on the standard cheese and bacon topping, it was served with ranch on the side. The nachos were mildly spiced with diced banana peppers, which made them seem fresh and new, a wonderful twist to the standard jalapeno. We all had ribs, brisket, pulled pork and sausage, which is the heart of their menu, but they also have smoked bologna for the kids, shrimp, catfish and smoked chickens as well. There is definitely something for everybody. The sliced brisket was just a touch on the dry side, but the presentation was beautiful, it has a nice, flavorful bark and the smoke ring was pinker than a baby piglet. Mmmmmmmmm baby piglet. Their table-side barbecue sauces aren't anything to write home about, unless you like vinegar-based barbecue. They have three: Carolina Mustard(creamy and tangy mustard flavor, slightly vinegary) Sweet and Mild(slightly smokey with a mild vinegar aftertaste) and HOT(tastes like spicy A1 steak-sauce more than a BBQ sauce). They were tasty, just, not for MY palate, as I am partial to molasses and brown sugar BBQ sauce. Try them for yourself, they're not something you'll find at the Grocery Store! Desserts were standard, two cobblers served with ice cream, a packaged cheesecake and a warm brownie sundae. Nothing to praise here, they weren't special, but, still a perfect way to end a perfect meal. We spent $120 including tip, and fed 6 people with big appetites. Our server was SUPERB, and the food came out in a moderate time. The kitchen messed up one of the half-racks of tender pork ribs(wrong sauce) and the manager insisted on replacing it with a FULL rack. I don't expect that type of daily generosity, but, I think that is a window into Rib Crib's work ethic, to please the customer at any cost. We thought maybe it was because they just opened and were just learning how to run things. The second time was a bit better but still not as good as Billy Sims. My husband and I stopped by for lunch today. The atmosphere is relaxing and we were seated quickly. I ordered the Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich which was huge and delicious! My husband had Porky's Route 66 Tacos, which were pulled pork tacos and they were also great! Their mashed potatoes are wonderful and their chips taste homemade. I apparently have this unrealistic expectation that when I go out and pay 20 dollars for one meal that it will be prepared to perfection or at least be somewhat enjoyable. RibCrib reinforced that my expectation is unrealistic. I ordered Carolina bbq sauce on my ribs...they came out with hot bbq. When this was finally corrected what I received was old, dry and cold ribs. At this point I wasn't sending it back again so I forced them down paid my tab and just won't return. Hopefully management reads this and corrects their practices for future patrons but for me I will take my business to a place that respects my hard earned money. This place is solid! I came in on a Sunday for lunch after church and it wasn't too crowded and they were showing some of the NFL games. Off to a nice start. We sat down and the waitress was very friendly and we got great service. My fiance and I both ordered 2 meat combos with 2 sides. I got the brisket and St Louis ribs with a side of mac and cheese and corn. My fiance got hot links, and pulled prok with fries and cowboy beans. We shared so that we could both try a little bit of everything and the food was great! The brisket was really tender and the ribs fell right off the bone. The food and our server were both good. My complaint is more about the disorganization and the attitude of one of the employees as we were waiting to be seated. There were two families ahead of us waiting to be seated and the hostess was new and unsure of what to do (not entirely her fault). Another employee (whom we were told later was Brittney) came to assist the hostess. A group of 15 came in a few mins after us (nobody had been seated yet that was ahead of them) and asked if there was seating for 15. Brittney immediately replied yes and was getting ready to seat the large party ahead of those families waiting. My boyfriend spoke up and informed her that we had been waiting and that the older couples ahead of us had not been helped yet. Brittney then somewhat loudly and rudely exclaimed "it will be ok sir". Then when we moved forward to make space in the entry way and I was asking my boyfriend who the hostess was that would be seating us she walked through and with a sarcastic tone told us to follow her. I work in customer service and have been in the hospitality industry for 15 years. Even on my worst days I have never treated anyone the way we were treated today. I have had to take care upset customers and have even had to ask people to leave an establishment due to inappropriate behavior, but I would never be disrespectful or speak to anyone the way she spoke to us today. Again, my server was great and the trainee was stressed and alone so I am not blaming them for what happened today at all. This was my first visit and first impressions speak volumes. read more

Absolutely the worst take out BBQ I have ever eaten. I shouldn't say eaten, as I threw most of it away. The St Louis style ribs tasted like they boiled them in cheap BBQ sauce then were thrown in a gasoline fire until burnt. The two sides, potato salad and corn on the cob were equally horrible. The potato salad was soupy and the corn was overcooked. On a good note, the BBQ sauce was OK. When they first opened here a few years ago the food was great. Loved the service at Rib Crib & the food. We almost didn't go to this place because the billboard did not look very appetizing. But, it was surprisingly good. It was very clean, had great service and really catered to our large group (and kids). They take the kids Oreos or ice cream after their meal (kept mine busy and not fussy towards the end of a long day - love that). I got the Dynamite Chicken salad with BBQ ranch and my hubby got the Smokestack BBQ sandwich. If ever in Lawton again, we would go back to Rib Crib. read more
