I thought that was nice since we were able to still enjoy their food despite us not having a reservation at Carmencita. The salmon egg Benedict was okay. The bread was really crunchy and it made cutting through it a little difficult. Salmon was a little salty. The egg and the Hollandaise sauce was cooked perfect. Hash browns has a little onion taste to it. The French toast was overwhelming for me since there was so much syrup and cinnamon topped on there. The eggs was scrambled nicely. Bacon was delicious. Coffee was good, according to the boyfriend. Mimosa was good! (Get that if you go) The staff was good. I would come back.

Sunday morning brunch, and the place was full by 1230. I got the American breakfast and my wife the huevos rancheros -- she got the better meal. American bfast came w/ a sausage I wasn't too fond of -- off taste for me. However, the bacon was crispy and the potato cakes nice and crunchy on the outside. The huevos were yummy, served w/ a healthy dollop of guacamole and black beans. Some good flavors there! Mimosas hit the spot, too! Lastly, excellent and friendly service. Cheers! RS

Haven't really eaten anything in the past 4 days so I was looking for somewhere to eat to satisfy…read moremy hunger. Came across this place on Yelp and saw it had good reviews so I wanted to check it out for myself. Just the sight of people's pictures of the burgers made me really hungry and it was practically the only thing on my mind all day. Decided to make it a night out, and reserved a table relatively late into the evening. Finding the place was more than alright. It's hardly hard to miss. In the middle of Spain something America styled sticks out like a saw thumb. As I don't speak much Spain, I was worried that communicating was going to be a little tough but turned out to be more than alright. There was a tone of options on the menu to choose from but had to stick with what I saw on the website which was Pulled Pork Burger, Chicken Stripes and Chips with bacon on. When the food came I was pretty overwhelmed if I'm honest. I got my money's worth. I thought I'd get three or four Chicken Stripes but turns out it was a basket. The burger was really big and chock full as well. It was really yummy and didn't even touch the sides. I couldn't manage it all so some of it had to be taken back in a bag which I'll eat at home. Overall, great service, great food, great music/atmosphere and a great night out. Well worth it!

The location was just down the street from our rented apartment and was a welcome change to the tapas crawl. Everyone was tired and worn out so we got the order to go. Not any problem. I'd definitely eat here again. Thanks Jose!

Randomly stopped in here after lunch a couple weeks ago. Being from Southern California I'm a huge…read morecraft beer fanatic and while I also love wine and sangria I was dying for some beer action after a week in Madrid. Technically this is a store you can buy bottles and cans from and they have SOOO many options packed into the little space, but they also had 5 beers on tap and some tables so you could sit and have a drink of what's on tap or try some of what's bottled. The guy behind the counter (who's name I sadly forgot now) was really awesome in describing the beers on tap. I went with two very different hazy IPAs. It was just myself and my cousin in the store and he came over after a bit to ask how we liked it and we had some great brew convo which I appreciated.

If you're a craft beer fan in Madrid, this place is an absolute MUST. Whether an expat or a local,…read morethey have all kinds of beer from all over the world. Homesick American looking for a quality stout? They got Speedway and Sump among others. Looking for a taste of Europe? You'll find plenty of Cantillon and 3 Fonteinen, and even Westvleteren 12! Wanting a tour of Spain? They have local brews aplenty. They have a few taps with good stuff, and many available bottles/cans for on-site consumption or take-out. The owner is very nice, honest and knowledgeable. Prices are also very reasonable. To a non-beer snob much of it may look crazy expensive, but it's incredibly reasonable for the beers they're assigned to. But don't worry, they have plenty of cheaper deliciousness for those not looking to break the bank. Highly recommend!

A bit of a splurge but worth it when in Madrid and in the mood for a steak. Located a few blocks…read moreeast of Puerta del Sol, it's nice because there are no hordes of people you have to navigate to find it. This is a place for people who appreciate their food and the experience, not for the tourist masses that are looking to get fed quick and cheap. It is an interesting set up as they have dining rooms on both sides of the street. I was in the one on the east side of the street and taken downstairs into the basement which has the looks of a refurbished ancient cellar. I had a 2 top in the corner to myself with a great view of the room so I could appreciate what everyone else was eating. I had a very civilized time. Frenetic Tapas this is not. There are white linen tablecloths present, a small container of housemade chimichurri, menus on line, great wi-fi service, a full bar and wine list, and menus that are bovine centric. I had an Argentine Negroni (the Argentine nod is due to a splash of Fernet Branca giving it a slight minty taste on the back end) and a glass of affordable, high ranking Tempranillo. These were perfect with the olive and bread starters with EVOO/Spanish vinegar on the table to mix to taste and also served with compounded butter. I was there to eat and the Mollejas (veal sweetbreads) are a must in my opinion. They are listed as a house specialty and come on a charcoal heated sizzle plate served with a side of broad flaked sea salt to finish to taste. Crispy edges and creamy textures throughout with a hit of grilled lemon and they were simply sublime. I also took down an Entraña (skirt steak) that seemed larger than its described 300 grams. Also served on a sizzle plate it was perfectly cooked by some expert grill guys upstairs. To ensure that I ate something with color, I had a salad on the side that I dressed to taste with the EVOO/Spanish vinegar on the table. The service here is friendly, professional, and not overbearing. My meal was about $85 USD which is pricey by typical Madrid eating standards but it was worth it considering the quality, quantity, and variety of what I experienced. I would be happy to go back here again any time I'm in the area!
