So, I am torn a little. I loved the small, quiet, and cozy ambience. The server was nice but her service was slow or just not there. The sushi rolls were great to so so. The country music softly blaring in the restaurant was funny but cute. I only liked my spicy crab roll. Prices were good. Soup, salad, and 3 sushi rolls for $14.99. The hot and sour soup there was my favorite. I am use to only getting miso or clear soup, but the hot and sour soup was an option. I was quietly filled with joy to eat this soup again. Rice Box is a great place to order dinner ahead of time and swing by to pick it up. The sushi that I get is always fresh and tasty. All of the food is delicious that we've gotten. The only downside is that it takes the staff awhile to prepare the food and even when you order ahead you're often having to wait awhile when you get there at the time that they said. The inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated and homey but due to the long wait to get the food I would not recommend eating inside. read more

Haven't had a problem with anything I've ordered from there for last 3 years. Everybody makes fried rice differently & I c that as more of a personal preference bc I am picky, but its better than A lot of restaurants so I won't complain. I ordered sushi to go a couple days ago from here. I got the tuna roll and the Alaskan roll. Both were good. The sizes were fairly small. I'm not a fan of large sushi rolls because I do believe they are best in one bite, but these were some of the smallest I have received. 2 rolls took up less than half of a single container. The food was good though! It could have simply been one off. Service was fairly quick. The website to order food online was fairly easy. I do wish there was more descriptions on the website when ordering food. I do like that it asks your for special instructions if necessary multiple times along the way. Other online ordering sites and apps don't do that well. Biggest tip would be to check their Facebook page for updates. I have tried several times but they seemed to have been closed. Their Facebook page was the only page giving updates I would definitely order again or dine in once COVID-19 passes. Ight so my homie and i was hungry for some asian food and we see this place called "rice box" idk i liked the name or somethin like that. When we go into the place, little did we notice that there were christmas decorations. And its April... like bruh cmon now, minutes pass and we ordered our food. The crab rangoon was actually not bad but once my cautious ass bit into my "general tso chicken" i noticed that it definitely did not look like chicken. Quite honestly the worst food and service I've had in a long time. Waitress knew nothing about the menu, staff had cleaning supplies open and next to sushi prep station, and so much more. Ordered wonton soup, wonton had literally one 1" shred of meat to fill. When asked, the owner said people order the wonton soup for the soup and not the wonton so why waste the meat. Manager was beyond rude and refused to address other issues with food. I've seen photos of splendidly presented food and quite honestly, I cannot imagine those dishes being served to just any customer off the street. I used to frequent this establishment for take out pretty regularly when I lived here...came back for a visit and decided I needed my Rice Box fix. I ordered online and arrived about 20 minutes later. A server dressed in basically pajamas, came up to close out a customer's check...you would think she greeted me right? "Someone will be right with you." "Hello." Anything!!! Nothing. I finally rang the bell on the counter and when the take out clerk came out, I thought she greeted me, so I said, "hello, I have a pick up order." Turns out she just asked for my phone number because she repeated herself clearly irritated. The service was absolutely horrible. I have never felt so unwelcome before. As a customer who is walking in trying to spend $50 at your establishment, you should really learn how to make them feel like you actually want them there. Never going back! read more

The place is beautiful and well decorated not to mention spotless clean. I was disappointed they werent more busy on a Saturday afternoon! I ordered the hibachi steak and hot and sour soup. While not as spicy as we like, I could actually taste the hot and sour soup ingredients and the textures were those of fresh ingredients. The steak was cooked to perfection, a little pink left in the middle. Most hibachi places grill it to toughness. Hidden gem! The interior is beautifully designed and very clean. I ordered cucumber rolls as an appetizer but, generally judge a Chinese restaurant based on their Geneal Tso's Chicken. So of course I went with it. The C.rolls were good and fresh and. The G.T. Chicken was well prepared and seasoned. Was a little to sweet for my liking but it wasn't bad. The fried rice was as an earlier review said. Felt like they just didn't put any fried in their fried rice. Overall great environment, wonderful staff, and good food. I am very upset with Rice Box and it's so called manager/owner Kristin Winters. We ordered the Mongolian beef and egg drop soup to go. When we got the food home and started eating the soup we noticed mold and lots of it. My stomach did not feel good afterwards. We threw it out and saved some to show them. Because we live 45mins away I brought back some of the moldy soup the next day, asking for a refund. The manager refused to do anything for me. Saying her soup was fine and they use all fresh ingredients, I said understand that but I have proof of the mold, I didn't put it in there. She said again that it wasn't their fault and that I should have brought the food in that same night, even after I explained how far I lived away. It didn't matter to her. She walked away and sent someone else out to tell me that she wasn't going to do anything for me. So I left the moldy soup and walked out. So disappointed, that's not how you treat your customers. Check your food over real good before eating and hope that you don't need anything because the owner is super unkind and rude. A picture of the mold has been included. This place is pretty great. They're a little pricey, but they have a geographical advantage of being about the only place on the "other side of the bridge" that isn't a diner. I order to-go from here, but have eaten inside before. When getting take-out, you have to specify that you want utensils or they won't provide them. We love this place! It's definitely a new favorite! First of all, the exterior is very deceiving--it looks so much nicer than what you'd typically expect of a restaurant in a strip mall. It was very sanitary. It wasn't crowded, so service was perfect. Their selection is very extensive, which made it a little difficult to decide what to order. We were not disappointed though! We ordered a hibachi meal, fried rice, sushi, soup, and Rangoon. It was all fantastic and we were even given free samples of sushi! The price was my favorite part. We left with two full to-go boxes and spent half of what we expected. They offer take-out and have their menu online. Definitely give it a try--you'll have a new favorite, too. read more
