We were in the Bell Gardens area looking for a place with vegetarian options and landed at Rice St. Thai Food. Right away, this place stood out. The building is modern, stylish, and easily one of the nicest-looking spots in the surrounding area.By the time we sat down, the restaurant had filled up, which is always a good sign. My best friend is vegetarian, but what we always forget is that she also can't handle spicy food at all. Even mild spice seems to attack her tongue! She originally ordered the yellow curry, but unfortunately it was way too spicy for her. The staff was incredibly understanding and graciously allowed us to switch it out for the green curry. Sadly, that was still a little too spicy for her, so she ended up taking it home for her husband to enjoy.I, on the other hand, was very happy with my garlic spicy beef bowl. It was packed with flavor and exactly what I was hoping for. We also ordered two coconut drinks, and our total came to about $43, which felt very reasonable. The service really deserves a shout-out. They were patient, accommodating, and made what could have been a frustrating situation completely stress-free. Great food, great service, and a beautiful restaurant. I'll definitely be back.

People who know me also know I live supporting businesses when the owners are friendly, passionate and engage customers. Rice Street is exactly that. I've been here a few times and each time, the interior is festively decorated. The vibe is just upbeat and happy. The owner, Jack takes the time to greet customers, chat with them and speaks of his own creative fusion take on Thai cuisine. I see customers come in with a smile and they seem to know the team. The menu is pretty extensive, and word is that there will be a new one coming out soon with added dishes. This visit, we got the Rice Street noodles, Golden Noodles, a Penang Curry dumplings and Tom Kha soup. The steak served with the Golden Noodles were so tender and perfectly seasoned. The Rice Street Noodles had flat wide noodles that had great texture. I poured some of the Penang Curry sauce on white rice for that comfort food feel, and the soup was very soothing. We ended with a double order of Mango Sticky Rice. I didn't think mangoes are in season but these are sweet and perfectly ripe. The sticky rice is one of the best I've tasted. Thick, sweet and comforting. Everything tasted fresh and of good quality, and I always leave happy and full. The staff is very friendly, and they're an extension of the owner. It's overall a good vibe.

I ordered the spicy pad thai with fried tofu, and pad see ew with chicken. The noodles were a lot spicier than I thought, so it was difficult to enjoy it without taking breaks. It was decent, but I would definitely order it bland next time, so my mouth isn't burning. Funnily enough, the owner was there when I went to pick up my online order. There is also a 7-Eleven across, where we got drinks. Oh, and I really wanted to try their mushroom egg-rolls. They were worth it, and literally the best egg rolls I have ever had. I need to learn how to make them on my own. Only thing is they didn't have a lot of mushrooms actually in it.

Nice spot near work, food was good the garlic rice was a little hard but otherwise everything else was solid. Good portions for the price when dining in. The service was good. Staff was attentive even though the store was full when I went in during the lunch rush. Luce checked in to make sure my food came out ok and was overall very friendly, so shoutout to her! The great service is why I'm leaving this review and would return again for the solid food

The space is small. The customer service was very good. Every dish was a 10 except the Penang was average the chicken and potatoes were huge chunks! I can not wait to go back and work my way across the menu. The prices were very fair. Decent portions. Great flavors. Loved it.

Amazing, delicious food!! Very kind service!! We love the vibe of this restaurant! We will definitely return here again

Cozy Thai spot with amazing food and very warm servers. Flavors were spot on and everything was very fresh. It seems the chef experiments with new items seasonally and their current special Rice Street Supreme should actually be permanently added. Very flavorful! Chef stopped by each table personally checking if everything was okay. Very homely Thai vibe with great food and warm staff!

Order Spicy Fried Rice, and a Thai Tea boba Boba. The Rice was horrible very hard uneatable. Let's not talk about the Thai Tea it was asise that it was more milk and Ice. Than actual Thai Tea It was the worst Thai Tea, Boba is under cooked, very hard to chew. Will not be coming back.

Jack IS PHENOMENAL ! Shoutout to everyone in the back, and the servers and cashiers. This is the best Thai restaurant I've ever experienced in my life. I literally am going to adopt Jack as my new family member. Haha. Where to start ? For starters, the seating is self seating. The food is served either to go or dine in. The process to order is super easy. The food is so fresh and delicious. I come back for the Rice Street noodles yet I also get the rice and other things that I get in the mood for. EVERYTHING IS GOOD! You will NOT be disappointed. I substitute the beef in the rice street noodles for the (crying tiger "steak") when I say it sets this dish apart from anything close. The music inside is so good too. While you eat yiu enjoy a calming reset as you indulge. 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Bring a Family and Friend. P.s. parking is on the right side of the building. Very easy and free.

The food was so good. There was a few things that went wrong but I am not going to bad mouth but I will say make sure you don't go to them 30min before closing. We didn't know they were closing unfortunately. They do have delicious food its well worth the money. Pauline is super friendly and sweet always making sure we had what we need her service is on point. We will definitely be back.

I felt almost confused at first, like as if the restaurant wasn't even sure of its own identity. However, once I started eating the food, I understood and am extremely impressed. I had ordered the crawfish pasta, popcorn chicken (spicy), and fried baos. The pasta was cooked perfectly with chunks of crawfish and sausage in a creamy tomato-esque sauce. I usually don't care for crawfish, but it was so delicious here. The sauce was so buttery and creamy, and the sausage added a cajun spice to the dish. The components are all very seafood boil, but felt different and innovative with unique flavors. The popcorn chicken was seasoned very well and had the perfect fried, crispy texture you'd expect from popcorn chicken. What really made this unique was the sauce that it was served with. I am not sure what exactly the sauce is, but it tastes like a ginger scallion sauce that is served with Chinese boiled chicken. The sauce is a little more elevated and flavorful than a traditional ginger scallion sauce. I would've never thought to combine popcorn chicken with it, but it works! The fried baos were the most surprising to me. I was keeping my expectations low because I usually think frying something that's not normally fried doesn't always bode well. Fear not, the baos were fried perfectly. They were fried lightly while the inside kept your typical bao consistency. Also, in case you were wondering the type of bao, it is basically a steamed bao with ground pork, and I think an egg yolk inside. The flavors felt very much like traditional dim sum, yet new and fresh. Hats off to the chefs and the creators of these dishes. So innovative while still keeping the familiar Asian flavors! I ordered delivery, so this review was solely based off of the food.

The marinated chicken sandwich (banh mi similar) was AMAZING. All of the flavors melded so well, it was so fresh, the sauce was so good, chicken marinated just right and the egg cooked to perfection. The peach lychee green tea was so good too. Definitely will be back as soon as possible.
