In a big wind storm most of it blew off. The original contractor was no where to be seen to help. After some research, we realized that the other contractor did it all wrong... that's why it was so cheap. It was doomed to fail. Then we called Rich. He came out to temporarily fix the roof in the storm even though it wasn't his problem to be solved. We knew the whole roof needed to be redone and after talking to Rich, were confident that we wanted him to do it. Rich does everything the RIGHT way and doesn't take shortcuts. He and everyone that works for him are professional, accommodating, hard working, and best of all knowledgeable. Now that the roof is done, we can see a huge difference in workmanship and quality. I feel great knowing that Rich and his guys are on our side in the future if anything ever goes wrong. I wish Rich was the one who put on the roof to start with six years ago. The Owner, Mr. Rayburn had built for me a totally stunning Gazebo that is solid cedar wood with a steel roof, and, had it painted for me it is just perfect it was constructed in record time on my patio. Mr. Rayburn also had my large deck re-done with a new waterproof membrane, the original one lasted over 20 years and was still in good condition and had never leaked. The new membrane makes the deck look just fabulous, it looks so good, that you hardly notice a magnificent view from the deck. This was all done in record time and for very reasonable amounts of money. I was so surprised at the actual cost of both - it improves the value of my home tremendously. The men who did the work were just great, neat, and cleaned up the place hauling all of the debris away when they left. They will be back to fix the dry-rot in my Sunroom and to do my roof if they can squeeze it into their schedule, also at a price, I can hardly believe! They've done two roofing jobs for me, one flat roof and one traditional with an extreme pitch. Both crews were efficient, competent, and professional. A leak developed in the flat roof; the roof was under my deck, and had some unusual issues about it. The guys came back three times to try to fix the leak. Eventually Rich himself came out, figured out what was happening in about two minutes, and got it fixed. He knows his stuff. The crew on the traditional roof impressed my entire neighborhood with their work and how thoroughly they cleaned up the work site every day. One star removed because their communication isn't great (a common issue with contractors in my experience). It can be very difficult to get hold of them, requiring many calls leaving voicemails and requests for them to call back. I've given up more than once. But my persistence paid off in jobs well done for reasonable prices. read more

My family hired Rich Rayburn Roofing to reroof this two-story house. The before photos show the steep pitch, flat roof on top, and challenging areas around the dormers, but those issues were no problem for the crew. They showed up when they said they would and got the job done in a timely manner. I'll update with after photos when I can. Update: I'm going to revise my rating down to 4 stars. Wish I could do 4-1/2. We're not happy with the job they did of cleaning up after they were finished. We have now found two roofing nails in the yard/drive - one of which was embedded in our tire and we had to get it fixed. I get that nails are going to get in the yard, but these have bright orange washers on them and I feel they could've done a better job of scanning the yard to ensure none remained. read more

Came out quickly and looked over situation, explained the problem the prior roofer had created and gave me a couple of options on how to fix. Great estimate. The roofers were out to do the work within the time frame Rich gave me. They were nice, polite young men. Did a great job. Arrived at the time they said they would, worked the whole day, cleaned up behind themselves daily. There's been quite a bit of rain since then and all the problems I was having are gone. Had to wait our turn, cause the roofers are all so busy. But it was well worth the wait. While waiting, we had a few days of heavy rain, and the leak showed up. Call Donna, and that day a crew was at the house to tarp the effected area. Thanks!! Then, when it was our turn, the crew showed up timely, worked hard every day, and left us with a beautiful finished product. This was a fairly large residential project, including a separate garage. I called to make an appointment and the woman told me that Ray does bids when he can by doing a drive by and looking at the house. Why would you be so disrespectful to not even meet with the customer to answer questions and address concerns? I told the woman forget it and ended the call thinking this is a huge amount of money to invest in my house and this company only cares about what works for serving themselves not providing service to the customer that is paying them. Some how this company gets all the roofing remolding contracts for the local community college that we all pay for through our property taxes. read more

They actually started work and arrived earlier than expected. The office communication was great. The two man crew that started the job were very amicable and went out of their way to answer my questions. They assured me that they'd be able to complete the work by end of day. Two more roofers arrived and work really moved along. Rich (jr) was very skilled and it was just a pleasure to speak with and to watch him interact with the rest of the crew, he and ALL on this crew were respectful and diligent in keeping me informed. We got a surprise Christmas present on Christmas Eve 2019 when we got a call to see if we would be willing to have our roof install that day.
