One of the girls down the road at Gov's Espresso had mentioned that she'd heard good things about them, and they're located right above Vintage Espresso, another of my favourite GC spots... so the choice to book in was easy. Lara looked after me and was really sweet and friendly without our conversation feeling like a chore. I got a treatment put through my hair, too, and that included a ten minute head massage - another relief! I had a tasty cup of herbal tea as she straightened my crazy curls for fun. The music playing through the speakers could have easily been piped up from Vintage, chilled-out alternative tunes from some of my favourite artists. As a spur of the moment thing, I inquired about an eyebrow wax, too. Unfortunately it was a busy Saturday, and the waxer didn't have any time for me, but the girls even went to the effort of calling the beauty salon around the corner to see if they could fit me in. I really appreciated the extra effort, even if the salon was too busy to fit me in, too. All up my visit cost only $69 compared to the same thing I had done in a Brisbane salon for $95. If only I lived on the GC! (I don't actually mean that. But thank you so much, ladies.)

She is extremely professional and very creative! She is a blonde hair specialist (but clearly looks after all colours). I never have to worry about coming up with styles as she is trustworthy in picking a style that will suit! She offers colours, cuts, keratin treatments (which I'm in for today), does styling for formals, weddings or special occasions, brow waxing and even does hair extensions. She sells and uses Davines, Juuce and Pure Products. If your hair is in need of some serious attention Haley is the girl to see. She is well priced and bases herself out of a salon she built at her house. Soon she will have proper car parks out the front of the salon as well. If you need a good hairdresser, you should give Haley a call!

Was advised by the "gentleman" that worked there that I would have to come back in 10 minutes as a colour has run overtime. I replied something along the lines of "oh, ok....I've just managed to drag 5 kids here on time for once!". I wasn't having a go...more joking around that I arrived on time. Nek Minit....he lost the absolute plot. Started yelling at me "why are you getting so angry? Either move your appointment for 10 past or I will cancel it. I don't understand why you are being so rude to me..." and on and on he went. The kids and I were all looking at each other in a state of shock. I told him I was happy to wait and didn't want to cancel....but then after walking outside my 10 year old looked terrified and didn't want to be anywhere near him. Someone forgot to take their crazy pills today. AVOID THIS STORE unless you like getting a mouthful from the crazy guy that works there.
