Me and my family went to Dunkin for breakfast and the cashier Tory needs to be fired. She was complaining because she was working a double shift she also couldn't concentrate on my families order and also changed us for six donuts instead of five. I don't recommend this stop for anyone. The manager needs to have a meeting with each employee and tell them that if they can't get their act together that they will be written up. read more

Nice service area before Exit 6 on NJ Turnpike (I-95). There's Dunkin, Auntie Ann, Burger King, and couple of regular stores. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. Lots of table to sit and dine. The Sunoco gas station has lots of pumps. Attendees available at all times. They also have Tesla Superchargers, about 8 stations. It's about 1 minutes walk from the main building. Stopped here on my way on a road trip to get some coffee and hot chocolate. Upon entering the station I noticed that their pffee station some of their coffees weren't available. I got a simple dark roast and a hot chocolate. The cashier was friendly and quick considering it was 5 in the morning and the store itself was really clean. read more

People are rude and horrible both inside service market and gas station. Gas tank was on my left side of car and attendant wanted me to move pumps. Only spots open where if my had tank was on right side. When I went to revise my car they started yelling at me for doing what they wanted. Wound up leaving without getting gas as it was worth the aggregation dealing with ignorant people. read more

Pretty standard rest stop with the key necessities. For your dining pleasure, you have Burger King, Nathan's, Auntie Annie, and Dunkin Donuts. If you are in a hurry or in starvation mode, your best bet is to go with Nathan's because the line for Burger King always seems to be crazy long. I stopped in because I was hungry and that was a mistake - my choices were Burger King and a Kiosk Market so I flipped a coin and lost. I chose Burger King, the line was ridiculously long . Nooo the line wasn't out the door but with the social distancing in full play it was almost impossible to know who was waiting to order or who was waiting on their order. I felt I was at a four way stop and no body knew the rules of the road, I looked right then looked left double pumped a fake juke then side stepped and landed in front of the electronic menu board so I could make things my way. I played it safe and ordered a double whopper with cheese a fry and a large fountain drink - the ordering process was a little disappointing it seems you really can't have it exactly your way. I like my whopper, easy on the mayo, half the onions and twelve pickles and a slather of ketchup with salt and pepper it seems those options have to be orally communicated and that ain't happening here. I estimate I lost fifty miles of driving waiting on the King to turn out my meal, on a positive note I had plenty of time to memorize my order number only to realize I only needed to remember the last two digits. The burger was okay even those I think Jamal made it his way. Honestly at the hour I arrived it wasn't all that bad and I accept responsibility for poor planning and I blame the coin toss for the dining decision, in hindsight I should of chosen the Kiosk (note to file). The restroom was ripe but the porter was preparing to breach the door way to sanitize things so if I would of waited a few more minutes I could of saved on hand sanitizer especially since Covid has trained me to carry my own which I try and ration when possible. Nothing else was open here and most people seemed to get everything to go, I prefer to not eat and drive especially since this double whopper required two hands and a case of napkins to eat. The New Jersey Turnpike does a good job with service areas at a reasonable separation along the highway so that you're never too far from a carb and caffeine load or a quiet spot to pull off to get a few minutes of sleep before getting back on to the road and going super fast. The Stockton service area had clean bathrooms despite being super busy with lots of people coming and going even at 9:30 PM. Food vendors include Burger King, Nathan\'s, Quizno's and Starbucks. Of course, there's a full service gas station here. I was able to find a spot in the corner that wasn't too brightly lit to get a half hour sleep while the rain band went past before I got back onto the highway. read more

With many parking spots for cars, trucks and RV's it is a large facility that offers food and services to any and all who pass thru. Fast food, ATM, coffee, gasoline and bathrooms seem a dubious honor to bestow upon a person of historical value. En route from NYC to Philly, we stopped in to stretch our legs, hit the restroom, and grab a coffee and some munchies. The touchless access to the bathroom, tons of urinals and stalls, and generally well-maintained facilities get 2 thumbs up from me. We hit the convenience store for the pick-me-ups and there were enough coffee, drinks, and snack choices to satisfy our group of 5. Due to COVID-19, not many people were here so having that natural social distance was pretty nice. No one wanted a meal so can't speak for the dining options, but I can very few folks were in that area. This service area fit the bill for everything we sought. From the looks of it, it may have been recently updated because it's certainly more attractive and modern than others we have hit up coming and going on this stretch of highway. read more

Stopped by this resting area on the way to Philly a few times. It was an average resting area with the usuals. I normally got a cup of coffee from Starbucks. I believed that the restrooms were upgraded recently, which were relatively clean and looked newish. read more

Decent service plaza. Has a long looped ramp-off to use to get to parking. Inside it's clean. Starbucks, Sbarros, MickeyD's, Asian. They have a neat little convenience store on the left with toothbrushes, maps, shampoo, gifts, chocolates. This rest stop is small and over crowded. The location is staffed by extremely lazy and inefficient people who are just not interested in helping anybody. Prices are extremely high - over inflated. They got you - You - the Customer - are desperate - so you pay $7.50 for that Whopper Junior. - The Cherry on top is that - anything you get from this place - less than a bottle of water - is inferior and sub par. This service area is one of the dirtiest I've been to thus far, with regards to the restrooms and the general area as well. Travel Mart, Burger King, Nathan's, Pizza Hut, and Starbucks are your main concessions. Sunoco is to the left of the service area. As is the case elsewhere, the food here is overpriced and to be expected. The staff aren't too friendly either, notably at Starbucks. Most NJ rest stops are similar, so if you're hungry but can wait a tad bit longer, just buy food when you hit the DE Welcome Center (if you're southbound) since it has a couple of better dining options. read more

Tuesday's drive down the Turnpike wasn't too long, and the absence of traffic put me ahead of schedule. I stopped at the Richard Stockton Service Area to stretch my legs and buy a PowerBall ticket or two; $215MM is a tempting target. The setting: 10:50 on a weekday morning. The little convenience store is absolutely empty; just a cashier slumped over the counter, a lot of airport-priced garbage and me. Me: "Two Quick Pick tickets for the PowerBall game, please." Cashier completes her second yawn, mouth uncovered, rubs her bloodshot eyes and responds, "I can't sell you lottery tickets." Me: "I'm obviously over 21, is the machine broken?" Cashier: "No, machine works fine." Rubs her eyes again. "I can't sell tickets." Me: "I'm not understanding the issue here, the store is empty." Cashier: "The woman who operates the lottery machine isn't here this morning." Me: "Does the lottery machine require some sort of advanced job skill?" The cashier yawns and rubs her eyes yet again, then returns to her elbows-on-the-counter position, seemingly waiting for the next customer. I'm not sure whether this exchange exposes an indictment of the current state of the Trenton Area labor force, or of a store doing its best to go out-of-business. A very average service area. nothing particular special about this service area. So I stopped here on my way to philadelphia to get some food to eat. I wasn't angry that there wasn't a Mcdonalds, the Burger King at the service area burgers are pretty good to be honest. I also order myself a coffee and a pretzel from Auntie Annes. (Coffee from dunkin dounts) So, there was nothing special about this service area, just a regular service area on I-95. read more

Avoid this service area if you are a Trucker. The Sunoco management does nothing to stop the inconsiderate drivers that leave their truck parked at the fuel pump while they go inside to do whatever. The driveway leading out constantly backs up with other drivers waiting to fuel or to even get out and end up getting stuck. This is an everyday occurrence. read more

I don't usually pay much attention to a restaurant's decor unless it's particularly striking or especially stinky. Fortunately, I've experienced several of the former and few of the latter. This review is for the Quiznos sub shop at the Richard Stockton service area on the New Jersey Turnpike, which is part of a food court-like setup. The decor there was starkly spartan, with very utilitarian furniture and a floor that looked like it could have used a washing several hours ago. The service overall was hurried and somewhat indifferent. To his credit, however, Juan, my sandwich artist (or whatever we're supposed to call them nowadays), took meticulous care to ensure that my sub customization was correct. The food? Truth in advertising: I'm a Subway aficionado. My tuna sub at Quiznos seemed simultaneously fishy and bland, which I know sounds like somewhat of an oxymoron. The bread, while not stale, had a dull cardboard consistency that left the whole experience unfulfilling, even as the smear of tuna on the roll left the sandwich less than filling. Honestly, the best thing about this Quiznos was that it was not at a rest stop on the Garden State Parkway. I'm not allowed to stop at service areas on the Garden State anymore--except in cases of extreme emergency--ever since my wife spotted a mouse outside a restroom on the parkway about 15 years ago. And on the rare occasions when we do stop there, because the gas gauge is below empty or, well, you know why, I have to swear to my wife that it's not the same stop where she saw the mouse. Which I do, although with some remorse, since I have zero recollection exactly which stop it was. Still, on the whole, I'd rather see that cute little mouse on the parkway again than go back to the Quiznos at the Richard Stockton service area on the New Jersey Turnpike. read more

I dont have much high expectations from a Jersey Turnpike rest stop. That being said, this place far underperformed even my expectations. When I come to a rest stop, I merely expect 2 things: fast service and a clean facility so you can tend to your customers and get them out the door and to back on the road to their destination. This facility is neither clean nor fast. We there were rows of open tables and chairs during a moderate afternoon lunch wave. The problem wasnt finding a seat, but rather one that was clean. The attendant in charge of the dining was walking in circles doing absolutely nothing. The bathrooms were filthy. Next time, I'm popping in for the cheap Jersey gas, but will wait for Delaware for food and restroom access. read more

I stopped here on the way to a job location. I was very low on gas and could use a coffee. Unfortunately all of the gas pumps were down. I was discouraged and no longer had desire to get a coffee from the Starbucks inside. I'm sure there was a good reason and this generally may be a very good service station. What can you say it's another one of NJ's infamous rest stops. I work in PA and people are always telling me horror stories about these places. I can't even deny them. This place is dirty and smelly just like the rest of them. The service at the pumps is also never good. I don't blame them though I don't think anyone wants to work here. For some reason too I have a card for the gas here and the credit machines are frequently never working. I will go to a different station on the way home and my card works fine. It's actually just this place not the card. The only plus about this place is the Turnpike and Parkway have to wait longer to raise gas prices so sometimes you can catch a deal. Keep driving if you can. Employees at the Quiznos here heat each customer's meat in the same water (open package, dump in water). The practice seemed rank, and the water didn't seem fresh. The toppings guy wiped his gloved hands on his nasty apron. Also, he was a dick. Gave me lip for adding mushrooms to a sandwich. The bathrooms are pretty nasty too. What a dump - stopped here recently on a road trip, first (and lasting) impression was of a dirty, poorly maintained facility. This was caused solely by an overwhelming, disgusting odor of raw sewage that permeated the area, even noticeable over by the gas pumps (quite a feat). Travel this route frequently, will not use again, there are other less disgusting options before and after this location. read more
