I don't often post reviews, however this time the service met all my expectations. We're very pleased with the final product. It took a little longer than anticipated but worth the wait. Their fabric selection was one of the best in terms of variety and options. Staff was helpful and friendly. They worked with our requested wood paint selection. Apparently it wasn't the normal type of finish and there was an extra charge. Any deficiencies were remedied promptly and without any pushback. Things to note is to make sure you allow enough time for fabric order to arrive, any unavoidable staffing shortages, higher demand before the Christmas season. Also time to fix anything not quite right. Easy to find and free parking.

Many places offer similar type lamps but are either clunky, unoriginal or will make your wallet over $1,000 lighter. We found the one we've looking for at BoConcept. It's a furniture franchise originated in Denmark. The store in Vancouver is on the 2nd level of the building shared by Inspirations on the ground level of the building. It was slight confusing on our first visit because they are 2 separate businesses which share a common centre in-store stairwell. Service was good. Since the only one available was a floor model, we were offered a reasonable 10% discount. A good alternative to sleeker and more stylish Scandinavian furniture in town than the mothership from Sweden.

The thing that makes BoConcept different from just anywhere else is the service that we get (from Paul) and we also like that everything just works together. The look is clean and refined and the quality is quite good as well. We have had a few issues here and there but Paul and BoConcept (and Rick) have been there to help us take care of anything that needed fixing. It's also nice to have an actual designer come to your house to help you see if things will work etc. They will even come during the installation to ensure that things are aligned correctly etc. I would definitely recommend them (and Paul) to friends, and I have.

From start to finish, Mark Hussain helped up with choosing our carpet, installation and making a runner from our leftover carpet. Mark was very accommodating and updated us throughout the whole process and made sure our carpets were installed by "our schedule" as we had a vacation planned and wanted to get them installed before leaving. The carpet technician who came to install was very knowledgeable and did a fantastic job with both the living room area and the stairs. Very professional. I highly recommended Jordan's carpets. I lucked out when Jordans was having a 60% off clearance sale to get a $370 rug that was originally $925. I found it on their website and went in to order it, a gentleman named Nick helped track one down (the last one!) and had it shipped in to the store for me to pick up. Its really good quality, Im chuffed at the savings and Nick was very kind sourcing it and helping carry it to my car.

Susannah Walker Interiors did a great job with our Whistler cabin. The cabin was built over 20…read moreyears ago and felt old and in need of a refresh. The new design she created has a modern-yet-comfortable feel, that balances perfectly with the outdoorsy background of Whistler. What I was most impressed with was the minor structural changes she made that COMPLETELY opened up the space. Our cabin used to feel stuffy and dark and now it feels open and has a really great flow. She lowered the bar to counter height (better for entertaining), added storage below the stairs (way less clutter in the cabin now), and she took out some ceiling beams to expose the high ceilings. She also came up with this idea of a super functional built in bunk bed (queen on bottom-single on top) that allows for my growing family to fit in the 3 bedroom cabin. The project was complete in time for the ski season (as expected) and the final product is the perfect combination of form and function.

When the project was over a month late I found out that she had not even confirmed anything with the millworker and when I expressed my concern she cut off all communication and will not give me my plans, order copies and information back. We are going to be at least 3 months late now on a 4 month project- costing us a lot more and now having to start from scratch with a new designer. We did not make any changes to the design or scope of work during this project. I do not recommend her!!!
