You will not be taken serious or actually treated with timely and proper care or help. I am expressing my concern and dissatisfaction with the care I received from the nurse Fabianna Zedan at Dr. Elias Mualin's office. My experience raises serious concerns about patient safety, information, communication, and quality of care. During my recent visits, I reported severe and debilitating symptoms, including nausea, constant sweating, extreme back, pelvic, and leg pain, tremors from pain during my menstrual cycle, and inability to eat. I sought medical evaluation and treatment to alleviate this suffering and to obtain a diagnosis and appropriate medication. Following an ultrasound, I returned for a follow-up appointment to review the results with Fabianna Zedan. At that time, she informed me that the results had not been reviewed. I was later told that there were delays at the imaging site, which I understand. However, despite Fabianna Zedan's repeated assurances that she would call me with the results--whether normal or abnormal--I was never contacted. I waited for days without any communication, which I consider a failure in the duty of care. After 3 consecutive days of calling the office, starting on Tuesday, I finally reached the receptionist, who informed me that my imaging results and notes were available. I was then told that I have a complex cyst on my left ovary. I was never contacted or proactively notified by the nurse regarding these findings, and I would not have known had I not persistently followed up myself. Additionally, despite my significant symptoms, Fabianna Zedan prescribed diclofenac, which I found to be an inadequate response given the severity of my condition. When I mentioned that my pharmacist suggested meloxicam, which might better address my pain and inflammation, she reacted dismissively and stated that meloxicam is a muscle relaxer--which is inaccurate, as it is an NSAID. She also raised her eyebrows and her eyes almost popped out of her head looking at me like I just asked her for some type of crazy controlled pain management medication. It was Mobic. This demonstrated a lack of attentiveness and professional knowledge that could negatively impact patient outcomes. This pattern of behavior reflects neglect of patient care, poor communication, and potential risk to patient health. I respectfully request that the office management and or doctor himself address this matter to ensure accountability and prevent similar experiences for other patients. I also got called actually 3 weeks after my ultrasound after I had called myself beforehand when I found out what I had on my ovary, to be told the results finally and that the doctor wants another ultrasound to be able to see further what wasn't shown. THREE weeks after my initial ultrasounds, weeks after I had to call MYSELF three times and got my results over the phone that way, it just shows another lack of interest again in that no one there knew I had gotten my results over the phone... I also obviously asked to be given my results, notes, etc on paper and am actively finding an adequate gyno office to take these results to instead as I am never going back here and advise anyone with SERIOUS concerns and needing actual help to stay away. It's sad too because this was the only gyno office I've been to- only ever being seen by the doctor himself, who's great- but knowing he would allow a nurse practitioner like this to take care of his patients? The day of my appointment, I received another confirmation, and saw they changed my appt to 30 minutes earlier without my consent. When I got to the office, no one was there and a rep for the office building told me they "went home early". I was referred to Dr. Archana Gupta, MD, by my primary physician for an eye infection…read more At my initial appointment, I was prescribed prescription eye drops. Several weeks later, I returned for a follow-up because my eye infection had not improved. I was prescribed a different eye drop. Approximately two weeks later, I returned again because the infection was still present despite the second course of treatment. During that visit, I was informed that my eye pressure was elevated, which was noted as a concern, and an optic nerve scan was performed. Based on that evaluation, Dr. Gupta told me that I had glaucoma and optic nerve damage. She emphasized that I should begin glaucoma medication immediately and that treatment should not be delayed. During the discussion, I expressed concern that another prescription eye drop being considered for my eye infection could potentially increase eye pressure, which I understood could be a concern for someone diagnosed with glaucoma. Dr. Gupta acknowledged that concern and decided not to prescribe that medication. However, she continued to recommend that I begin glaucoma treatment without delay. Because glaucoma is a chronic condition that often requires lifelong treatment, and because prescription glaucoma medications can have potential side effects and are intended to treat elevated eye pressure associated with glaucoma or related conditions, I was uncomfortable beginning long-term therapy without obtaining additional medical opinions. Over the following several months, I consulted three independent ophthalmologists, including a glaucoma specialist. Each of those physicians independently told me that, based on their evaluations, they did not believe I had glaucoma. As a result of these conflicting medical opinions, I did not begin glaucoma treatment. Had I accepted the initial diagnosis without seeking additional opinions, I may have begun long-term treatment for a condition that three subsequent specialists told me I did not have. That possibility was deeply concerning to me and significantly affected my confidence in the initial diagnosis. Based on my personal experience and the subsequent opinions I received, I lost confidence in the initial diagnosis and would not return to this practice. I believe patients should feel comfortable seeking additional opinions when faced with a significant diagnosis or treatment recommendation, particularly when long-term treatment is involved. This review reflects only my personal experience and my honest opinions based on that experience. Other patients may have different experiences with this provider.
