I do not recommend Taylor Law. I had a very bad experience where the attorney I hired was very…read moreinexperienced and lost every attempt to defend my company. Attorney A.J. was unable to obtain discovery, had a subpoena that he said was discoverable "quashed", lost an attempt to prevent me from having to do two separate depositions (something that nobody at his firm had heard of) and relied on 11 other people (in and out of his office) to bill me for as much time as possible. My retainer for $5k was exhausted within days of my first deposit. My final bill was over $100k and I believe not only was I over-billed, but they even billed me for other peoples cases by mistake on multiple occasions. I tried to discuss these issues with the owner but he refused any attempt to reconcile, was rude, and only cares about money. I believe this to be a violation of business ethics and a lack of integrity. In the end my defense was lost by my attorney on a matter of $31k and I was awarded $80k attorneys fees for the plaintiffs for what I believe was a very strong case in defense of a construction contract. My attorney didn't even represent me and some other person who I have never spoken with M.R. Attended the hearing yet the paralegal was clueless as to any details of whether oral arguments were heard and then the owner claims he attended, but somehow M.R. Billed me for this. I believe this is neglect and malpractice, and violates my contract agreement. The end result is that I paid Taylor Law $40k to end up owing more than $170k. I would never recommend this firm to anyone and I am filing my grievance with the Idaho State Bar to discuss the issues with this company and it's over billing practices, as well as looking into disciplinary action for violating the Idaho Rules of Conduct.

Hiring Krista was the worst decision I made in my divorce. She allowed Mandatory Disclosures from…read morethe opposing side to be 6 weeks past due before ever saying a word. She allowed my ex to enter my home on two separate occasions, against a court order, and did nothing to put a stop to it. She allowed my ex to max out our credit card and knowingly leave me in a completely financial crisis, and took no action against him. I tried to fire her before trial based on all of these facts, along with over 32 unanswered emails in a few month timeframe. She not only lied in her affidavit, stating that the reason for her withdrawal was because communication between client and attorney had broken down and that I wasn't paying my bill (which was paid in full at that time), but then she also didn't show up for the hearing and instead sent someone else in her place who had zero knowledge of our case. The judge subsequently denied the request for her withdrawal, forcing me to keep working with her. She looked me in the eye at our next interaction and said, "have you found someone else yet, because I know you don't want me representing you?" She knew my ex hadn't complied with Discovery requests but waited until a week before trial and then filed a Motion to Vacate and Reset the trial date, which the judge denied and stated, "Ms. Thiry, if you knew all of this Discovery was missing, shouldn't you have filed a Motion to Compel at some point?" Her reply, "Well, I was hopeful we could work it out between the parties, but here we are." Along with denying the Motion, the judge then allowed the opposing side to turn in an additional 1,000 pages of documents 5 days prior to trial. I ended up accepting a horrendous settlement in attorney-assisted mediation the day before trial because I was more terrified of having her represent me than I was of taking an awful deal and at least being done with her. I personally know a few other people that have had very similar experiences with her and I've had the situation reviewed by a couple of other attorneys and they've suggested that they believe I should sue her, but finding an attorney that is willing to go after another has been unsuccessful. Krista seriously failed me in my divorce and I would very strongly recommend against anyone hiring her!

Mr Morton is a liar, fraudulent, incompetent, incredibly rude, and mentally incapable of functioning as an attorney. Mr Morton and I met regularly, after he took on my personal injury case. It became quickly apparent that Mr Morton was incredibly unorganized and had no ability to retain information whatsoever. We met once to twice a week, and he would ask same questions every single time we met, and ask for me to turn in forms I had already turned in. This perpetual process was complicated by the fact that Mr Morton is almost impossible to communicate with. Even though he would ask the same questions repeatedly, I would play along and attempt to answer the questions. It is rare that you are able to get a question answered before he will cut you off with an angry reply such as "just answer the question!" while the question is actively being answered. Communication is a key part of my job, and I am very capable of communicating in an effective, concise way. However, there seems to be no way to do so with Mr Morton that doesn't result in being interrupted. He is incredibly condescending and insulting in everything that he says. There came a point in my case where Mr Morton simply became unreachable. He wouldn't answer my phone calls, or emails over the course of 5 months of repeated attempts.. I was forced to visit his office, where I couldn't be ignored in person. When we interacted in person, he attacked me with a barrage of insults, as I've learned is his defense mechanism when he is in the wrong. I had become used to this sort of behavior. He went on to tell me that we had talked on several occasions over the last 5 months, in which he told me X, Y and Z. These are all blatant lies. We had not spoken a single time. When I interrupted his barrage of lies, he lost control, and yelled "Don't interrupt me!" when I reminded him that this is HIS standard behavior, he lost control and began screaming "shut up! shut up! shut up!" like a child throwing a tantrum. While this account sounds ridiculous, I'm sure, it is the truth. After I dared to tell him that he interrupts me, he proceeded to tell me to "get out!", and that he's "done with [me]". He is a childish ego maniac who can't handle not being in control. While I do acknowledge that this is probably not terribly uncommon with lawyers, the incompetence, lack of recollection, disorganization, and lies present a picture of a person that should not be in practice. After he disassociated himself with representation of me because he couldn't handle being wrong, he sent correspondences to me, two physicians, and the party I'm working against in my case, containing lies upon lies of conversations that were never had. I write this as an attempt to save people from going through what I've gone through. 8 months of my life has been wasted. He also forgot to file for an extension during the time that he went AWOL on my case, and may have permanently destroyed my case in which an employer has truly been negligent. Please don't let this happen to you.
