Her tours are either one hour, or two hours long. And believe me I thought one hour would be plenty...In reality I could have spent the whole day. It's all based on donations, but no less then $10 per person for the hour tour, $15 per person for two hour tour. However, in the end you will want to give her so much more, including a hug if it weren't for Covid times. Please wear a mask the whole time. We were headed to the see the Johnstown Inclined Plane and decided to stop by this cemetery…read more Cemeteries have always seemed to attract us. We are intrigued by the history, and the architecture of the stones, statues, and mausoleums. We knew that in this cemetery we would find the graves of the lives cut short by the Johnstown Flood in May 31,1889. The unmarked graves in the cemetery give you a chill as you look upon so many that were not identified. Grandview Cemetery today is one of the largest in Pennsylvania with about 235 acres of land. The cemetery sits high above Johnstown and has a beautiful view. There are more than 10 miles of roads that connect the 47 burial sections. We were fortunate to find many graves from 1889. May they all rest in peace.

The only two alterations were to shorten the length & to reduce the bodice width. I was appalled when I returned to pick up my dress. The hem & bodice width was fine, however, she took creative liberty to literally reduce the width of the sleeves even though the sleeves were never an issue, never discussed, never measured. I am still baffled at the logic or math she used when literally taking a pair of scissors to cut a chunk of the sleeve width at bottom of armhole/widest part of my arm. How did she even know how wide my arms were. It was clearly a mistake from someone inexperienced in pattern making & garment construction. If she was unsure how to reduce the bodice without cutting into the sleeve (i.e., blend to zero) and the math wasn't working, she should have called or communicated. But instead took the liberty to literally ruin my dress. She was also adamant about how she had leftover fabric and would add gussets to fix the mistake. ??? In addition, the fabric is a crepe woven & she even tore through the fabric so the weave has been broken. But she didn't think that was a big deal either. That's when I grabbed my dress & stormed out of there. Basically, I have a dress that looks like a home-ec project. I would not recommend this place. The worst part of it, she didn't apologize, raised her voice at me and basically told me it was my fault. *To note: I have 17 years of experience working in the apparel industry for major national retail brands in both merchandising & design. I understand garment, fabric & fit construction and have sat in technical fittings most of my career. This was a huge mistake.

Her measurements are always spot on and she never makes the final cuts until you can visualize what the prepared garment will appear like when finished. Ive brought a dozen pair of pants here off and on. Jeans, khakis, and suit paints. Ive had tge waist taken in as well as inseams shortened. The first few times when i picked them up i tried them on but now i just pick and run. Also, had some shirts tapered at sides and sleeves shortened. Always perfectly tailored and exact. Always satisfied. Now ladies dont be jealous. She does great work on dresses, gowns and pant suits and my wife can attest to that. All prices reasonable and satisfaction guaranteed. I will continue to cone here for all my tailoring needs!!!

This is a stunning garden site. My first visit. From the…read morename, I thought it would be just one small rose garden and expected it to be nearly out of season as I was coming here mid September. I came mainly to mark it for future visits in summer months. To my surprise and delight, it is actually many gardens with Flight 93 symbolism embedded throughout. There is a wildflower meadow in full bloom. There were many annual cosmos. A volunteer was very helpful and let me know next year it would be full of perennials. There is a fountain, some trails, a Monarch butterfly waystation, among other garden installations. Per the volunteer, this land was donated by families. Also, noteworthy, I entered the Visitor Center, brand new according to the very kind volunteer, with work performed by Amish community. In the Visitor Center are some 9/11 photos and even some nice t-shirts for sale. Admission is free and it is very close to the Flight 93 Memorial. Definitely worth a visit.
