I love a good cauliflower crust that's also gluten-free pizza crust, but places that serve this are hard to come by! NOT this place!!! Yay!!! So I ordered 1 House Combo, 1 Sausage Lovers, and 1 Roasted Garlic Chicken (with the creamy white sauce). My partner ordered his usual cheeseless Hawaiian cause he's lactose intolerant. I think my favorite was the Roasted Garlic Chicken pizza. Lots of flavor! The crust on the original pizza that my partner ordered was nice and light, but not too heavy like other pizza places. This is slowly becoming my favorite pizza place in the area. Why you may ask? I know! The place from the outside is very unassuming, actually the same can be said about the inside. But what keeps me coming back for more is that twisted sesame crust! It's so good and unexpected. My favorite combination, so far, is the Sweet & Spicy add pepperoncini but there's others I'm curious about trying but haven't been able to pull myself away. Everyone ate the pizza so quick I didn't get a photo! Always happy to support a small business over big box chains! Richmond Pizza House was definitely the ambience of local owned. Hospitality was off the charts even when the order was phoned in! We had a friendsgiving dinner with friends nearby and ordered two 22 inch pizzas. Jay over the phone was great at making sure I was purchasing a pizza meant to feed at least 10 people... which it was meant to feed 14 of us hahaha! So it worked out great! The workers are very friendly and the place is clean to the point where I picked up a scrap of paper off the floor in fear of being labeled a litter bug. We were the only customers. Some kind of I think prayer or meditation music in a language I can't understand was playing. Next Spanish music in a language I don't understand was playing. No Habla. Finally Hotel California plays. Thank you. Some confusions. I would prefer being offered a discount for paying with cash rather than (with no warning) seeing a $.99 transaction fee line item on my bill. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile because it has good reviews and always seemed pretty good. Went on the website and saw they had a. "Two Large Two topping pizzas" for $40. I ordered that and 40 wings for pick up. When the worker rung me up it came out to $139... I told the worker I thought the pizzas were 2 for $40 because that's what it says on the website specials. After doing the math the 40 wings were $56 and guess this? Each pizza came out to about $40. So $80 for two pizzas which I thought I was gonna pay $40 dollars for is outrageous. The pizza was okay. I ordered a pepperoni pizza with their original crust a year or so ago and enjoyed it with my niece. We both agreed that the toppings were delicious however the dough was too thick. I've since been ordering their combination pizza on thin crust - it's SO good and they don't skimp on the toppings. This will be quick. I am a HUGE fan of Pinole Pizza House. On my way home one evening as I was passing Richmond Pizza House I remembered that the two places are owned by the same people! I turn it to the parking lot excited to try it. 1. No greeting other than a stare. I ordered my pizza anyway. 2. No gloves worn. It always makes me happy to see a new restaurant open in West Contra Costa County because this is my home turf. Oftentimes my family and I travel to Concord, Walnut Creek, Berkeley and beyond for Friday night dinners. I am by no means a traditionalist when it comes to most cuisines so I will always try something I haven't seen anywhere else. Right off the bat, Richmond Pizza House's pizzas have twisted crusts topped with sesame seeds. Yes! I picked the Garlic Veggie and Chicken Pesto gourmet pizzas, which were both excellent and tasty. The dough was nice and chewy, and the white saucy just the right amount of garlicky goodness. The Chicken Pesto was also very good, but the chicken dried out just a bit by the time I got home to have dinner. They give you a generous portion of beef lasagna, very cheesy and saucy. The space itself is small so dining in is probably not the best for big groups. There is plenty of parking on the street and adjacent lots, but San Pablo Ave can get quite busy especially during commute times. read more

One star is being generous...let's linger on the concept of a "star" momentarily...actual stars in the atmosphere burn eventually to the point they perish, as they exhaust their nuclear fuel and burn into nothing... now...hold onto that burned image and term "nuclear fuel..." Ordering a pizza...easy enough...first time and last time from Richmond Pizza House...We ordered a, deep dish pizza with sausage...and so we wondered what were these individuals doing while our pizza order was being nuked beyond recognition and edible state???? And then this place not only tried to come across as "overly friendly" when we went to pick it up...too uncomfortably friendly...literally fawning over my husband who they had never laid eyes on before...now we know why...our order was ruined, and instead of calling us, or informing us when we arrived to pick it up, and making another pizza pie, and fulfilling our order without nuking it...we instead paid to be played. 1.. A picture is worth a thousand words...NUKED PIZZA - and it was CHARRED, and the crust was completely black, (now we realize if it was truly nuked, there'd be nothing left in the form of evidence, only perhaps a black burning and smoking hole...so imagine there was nothing left of our hard earned money we handed over to this unethical business...in effect...we got NUKED...while they used MORE pizza sauce to cover the CHARRED pizza pie. I've had this spot on my list of places to try for a while, and I finally got to do it back in November! I called in for a lunch pick up and was told it would be ready within ten minutes. When I arrived, my order for a small BBQ chicken pizza was fresh out the oven! The spot was open and quite spacious, and the aroma of pizza sifted through the air. Service was quick and I was able to take my box home for a good price! I was tempted on the way back home, so I tried a slice in the car. IT WAS SO MAGICAL. Not only was it nice and hot, the flavors balanced out and it wasn't too cheesy or too saucy. I really liked how the crust was soft and that the pie was filled with tons of flavor. Ordered through DoorDash. Food came nice and fresh, though I do live less than a mile from there. Minus the delivery fees, I think the pizza price is very reasonable if you're just getting a standard pizza with toppings. Bread sticks, although I think they're quite expensive, they totally make up for it with their taste and texture. The churros, however, left me with more to be desired and the price didn't help either. I got a Medium 12" Cheese Pizza with thick crust, sausages, and Canadian bacon. Although you can barely see the Canadian bacon, they're actually underneath the cheese, forming a layer. This meant that every bite had a nice taste of it. The bacon itself was very satisfying, too. The sausages were also tasty and meaty. Wish there was more, but definitely helped filled me up. Cheese was very good with a slight melt in your mouth texture. Red sauce played more like a side character compared to most standard pizzas I had, but still contributed to very well to the whole package. Finally, the dough was superb! The thick crust was indeed thick. It had a nice chew but also very fluffy! Easy to eat and had a good density to it. The edges also had that nice slight burnt taste and crunch to it which was a very welcoming addition. Bread Sticks were also incredible! Their dough is becoming one of my favorites and I ordered lots of local pizza shops in the past. Once again, thick and fluffy. Full of flavor with the garlic and dusted Parmesan cheese. It also had a slight crunch on the outside that gave that first bite a very warming welcome, before diving into a soft bed. The additional marinara sauce was kind of bland. Didn't add much to the bread sticks. Not worth the extra charge for the marinara sauce. At least the bread sticks are so delicious that I could eat them all by themselves! The Caramel Filled Churros wasn't what I expected, but it also left a lot to be desired. First, they're way smaller than I expected. For the price I payed, I was expecting a bit more. They did have a good density and decent crunch to them. The caramel filling tasted interesting, but not something I look forward to. Wish they had a plain option. Also, they need more cinnamon because it tasted more like regular sugar. Then the chocolate sauce which I firmly believe is just Hershey's syrup. Was a surprising addition as I didn't see listed, but the extra flavor didn't add much other than toning down the caramel filling taste which made the churros more bearable to eat as I was becoming not too fond of the caramel filling. Easy skip next time. Overall, was a surprising and satisfying experience! Will order again! It definitely has the potential to be a little gem that I would recommend to anyone. read more

I don't even know how to start this review... I feel like my partner and I had an exceptionally bad first impression. Customer service was fine, but the food... Yikes. This is based on our take-out experience, we didn't dine in. We landed on Richmond Pizza House on Yelp as a new place to try around town. GARLIC VEGGIE (with SESAME TWIST crust): After 5 min of taking the first few bites, my stomach was upset. You know that feeling after you realize the seafood you ate wasn't that fresh? THAT feeling. I literally felt like I was going to be sick, so I stopped eating after 1 slice. The flavor of the pie was alright-- fairly cheesy and evenly topped, but I couldn't get over that initial stomach turning. CHOCOLATE MOUSSE CAKE: Bitter and wet. The cake was more soggy than fluffy, which was mushy in the mouth. The frosting may be better for folks who like dark chocolate? Actual cake is bland otherwise. Beneath the herbs and tomato, the marinara sauce (we requested in a separate cup) literally smelled like hot piss. There was something subtly rancid that permeated the entire order, definitely strongest in the marinara sauce. I know oregano can get pretty stinky, but this was straight up rotted. What IS in it that smells so bad? Not sure if the quality declined because we ordered 45 min before they closed... I feel like we paid $50 to get food poisoning. read more

Richmond pizza is an excellent addition to the West County food scene. I drive along San Pablo Avenue often and despite the large sign by the building, I doubt that I would have noticed them. Thanks to Yelp that changed when I was included in a Yelp Elite event that gave the lucky attendees a complimentary medium pizza. When I took advantage of this perk, I ordered the meat pizza without Canadian bacon with the regular crust. This crust is thick and fluffy. I took it home and shared it with a friend. We enjoyed the pizza, which was more than enough for us. When I went back I paid more attention to the menu. The menu said they were Halal. That encouraged me to try something else. I ordered the combo with a thin crust. This pizza also had Canadian bacon and what a difference that made it was it was so very tasty, as was the thin crispy crust. It took a couple of days for me to finish the small pizza. When I did I was ready to get another one. The restaurant is hard to spot. It is located between La Bamba and Goodwill. Their sign is on the Goodwill sign pole. There are 5 or 6 tables if you would like to enjoy your pizza inside. Walked in at 8:30pm and they close at 10pm. All their chairs were flipped on the tables as if they were closing soon. I asked if we could have a table and they said no they aren't allowing dine in. So I waited for the pizza standing there for like 30 minutes for take out. I thought that was rude/poor service to not offer a seat out of the 20 chairs not being used.
