I hate that it has come to this after being a former loyal customer for 5+ years however at this point I think all customers should know the truth about the level of service received before they are in my situation and it's too late.. not once, but twice: to sum it up, nothing short of atrocious. It's really sad because this used to be a great office I'd refer my friends and family to now and all they seem to care about now is writing more policies not making things right when you need the policies. It's plummeted to the point I've had to cancel my policies and caution anyone against staying with State Farm and this office and especially writing l new policies with then. I was in an incident and the other party accepted liability immediately. State Farm assured me out of pocket costs would be reimbursed yet they were not and I was left out of pocket $1200 and they refused to subrogate for it, despite telling me not to worry! When I reached out the Ricks office they would hide behind a lens that they can't help with claims so I asked Rick and he refused to help and hid behind a wall saying "he can't help with claims also".. here's an 800 number. I spent over 20 hours every week on hold just to get burned in the end. Insurance is only good if it works when you need it and his office claiming to be "customer service focused" couldn't be further from the truth anymore. A few months later, I was rear ended, again clearly not liable. I got a $3000 quote from the shop that just fixed my vehicle just a few months prior and State Farm was pleased with. State Farm, in writing said I'd have payment within 48 hours after the repair estimate and pictures were forwarded. Over 3 weeks later, every excuse you can think of from State Farm, and I was issued a $400 payment and told to take it to another facility. FURTHERMORE, I was then told no more payments would be made until the vehicle was apart! I reached out to Rick again begging for help.. to no avail he sent me to another generic 800 number claiming ignorance and refusing to help. It gets better though (well really worse!). I cancel my policies 2/2 and think enough with State Farm and Rick. I'll eat the thousands of dollars because what other choice do I have, From a corporation making billions and Rick more focused on profit than people. 20 days later his office has the nerve to contact me and state that if I don't sign a cancellation notice they'll reinstate my policies without my approval! That's right! On 2/22 they are now claiming I must do this or without my consent they will start billing me again! This was the first time a notice was requested so it shows you it takes them almost 3 weeks to even realize something is missing, if you take nothing else from this. AND THEY DID! on 3/30 they re-instated my policies without my permission and billed me despite in writing me telling them they aren't authorized and me receiving cancellation confirmations and checks. I'm sure Rick or his office may try to come up with a way to respond to this, and I thought the same thing, which is why I stayed a customer after I was left $1200 out of pocket but as they say, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Don't let Rick and State Farm fool you! read more
