I reached out to Dolores initially in February to inquire about completing taxes for my deceased…read morefather, and Dolores agreed to the work. I understand it was tax season, so I was initially in no rush to have it completed, as taxes for a deceased individual are lower priority, but I was expecting to have some follow-up after April. On May 18th, Dolores sent me an email that the taxes would be completed later that week. This is the last contact I received from Dolores. I sent emails in June and July and never received a response. I talked to an incredibly rude receptionist last week who didn't even care to take my information and I had to insist that she at least take my father's name. Then she said she wouldn't be able to discuss the taxes with me and would need to talk to my father, who is of course deceased. I had sent in the death certificate and power of attorney papers months ago, so obviously the taxes can be discussed with me, but she didn't even want to take my father's name to look into it. In fact, when she answered the phone, she said the taxes would be complete later that week. She said this without getting any information from me. She said they had a computer issue last week, and when I mentioned that I was told they would be done back in May, she then said she would need to speak with my father. I'm at the point of filing a complaint with the Attorney General. My calls are no longer even being answered. The one rude conversation last week is the only time I even got someone on the phone. Now I think they see my phone number on Caller ID and just let it go to voicemail and don't bother returning my calls. I don't understand why she accepted business for frankly a very easy client, a deceased individual with no major assets, and then just not do it. I only have so much time to close the estate with the probate court and I'm now facing a significant delay as a result of this situation. I'm down to the last 6 months now and unable to move forward without the taxes being completed. I have not received a bill, or any follow-up whatsoever since May 18th. I had spoken with a different CPA prior to contacting Dolores, and they were unable to accept the job due to their workload in tax season, but said they would be available later on if I was unable to find anyone else. I wish Dolores had simply declined the job if she had no intention of ever completing it so I could hire a different CPA. I left this review on Google and got a reply to the review claiming that additional info had been requested from me and that I never provided it. So Dolores is also a liar. I provided screenshots of that inbox which clearly shows I was the last one to reply, and that Dolores had replied to my personal email saying that she had all she needed. That SAME DAY the taxes were apparently completed. So which is it Dolores? Were you missing info, or were they done? I then received an invoice several hours later, which said "2025 taxes." In the consultation BACK IN FEBRUARY I had told her I needed 2024 done (the year he died) and 2025 (the year his house sold) and more than 24 hours later I get the first reply from her that I have gotten in MONTHS which said that the invoice was only for the 2025 taxes. She said she needed the social security statement for 2024, which she had never mentioned before. It took 6 months to do only a single year of taxes. Her receptionist is a complete moron also. Answering phones seems to be beyond her capabilities since I left 2 messages and she couldn't be bothered to pick up the phone or return my calls. Then she threw a Pam Bondi level fit when she finally bothered to answer the phone. I'm beyond glad I filed a report with the Attorney General.

Dolores was great! We met with her the same day I called. What a relief after being turned down…read moreby other accountants that didn't have time. Our taxes were more complicated than usual this year and Dolores was very knowledgeable and got us a great return.
