I'm a…read morevideo editor and computer tech (I design and build highend custom workstations for video editing) so I'm reasonable familiar with video. I called and talked to Perfect Video and they said I need a codec pack and let me know where to download it. I downloaded and installed it but the DVD contents is still not recognized by any video program (including Windows Media Player with the recommended codec) on my computer. Perfect video says it's my problem. I'm just glad I did not give them all 60 tapes I have to convert to DVD. I only gave them six tapes as a trial. I'll check another company now to find someone who can make this as easy as it should be. I mean I can, and have, converted them myself without any trouble or having to install any additional codecs. I just thought it would be nice to save the time. So far that idea is not working out.
